Kryel and Idun share a secret smile.

Jada and I both move as one to each of our new husbands for big hugs. It’s a sweet moment.

And then the two males follow along as I give my sister the grand tour of the penthouse. We play with the windows for a bit and then I guide everyone into the kitchen and program breakfast for us. All four of us end up on the terrace, eating and chatting at the large table. It’s lovely.

“I have an idea for a future career for you if you’re interested,” I tell my new fiancé. “You did so well at laying out security for this place because you’re so good at knowing how thieves think and how they could possibly break in. Maybe you can turn legit and help other beings to stay safe, um, from thieves like you used to be.”

“Exactly,” Idun agrees.

Kryel rolls his eyes. “I haven’t made a decision yet. I think for right now I’m going to focus on joining my new bound in promoting her brand, keeping her safe and making sure everyone in her business dealings are treating her ethically and with all the proper respect.”

“Ooh, that sounds perfect too,” I say.

Jada moves to sit in Idun’s lap. She kisses him lightly on the lips and says, “It turns out the both of us were ready to settle down. All it took was finding the right person.”

“Yes,” I agree, my voice choked with emotion.

“Are the two of you planning on living on Omega 9?” Idun asks me.

Kryel wraps an arm around my shoulders, and I lean in close. I place a palm on his bare chest and look up at him. “Yes, I love it here. But I am going to talk my husband into accepting the fact that the entrance to our fancy penthouse needs to be remodeled so we can access our home like normal beings—through the lobby of our housing block. I want to be able to meet our neighbors and maybe even take walks in the garden and go to events.”

“This is a great idea,” Idun remarks. “Because Jada and I will remain on Tarvos, but we will be visiting often so that ridiculous door needs to go.”

“I think we should send out a joint statement to our home planet, about why the two of us are no longer living on New Earth,” Jada says, changing the subject. “I would hate for people to think we ran away like cowards.”

I nod in agreement. “I’ll contact my agent and PR firm for help. We can let people know that neither of us are using the currency of either of our prior families. We are breaking from the Garcia family and the Williams mafia. We’re not going to take any money from any of them ever again.”

She looks at me with worry on her features. “This means we’re poor, Aliyah, I hope you can handle that.”

I wave a hand at this nonsense. “That reminds me…” Kryel hands me my tablet and I start tapping on the screen, moving currency around. “Jada, neither of us are poor.”

“Aliyah…”

“No,” I look up from my screen. “I’ve got plenty of currency. I’ve been making my own money from my brand through sponsored ad campaigns and my modeling contracts. I’ve been running a very successful business for the last couple of years and I plan on growing.”

“You have?”

I look over at Kryel, who’s trying hard not to laugh. I elbow him. “Hush, she didn’t know.”

“Didn’t know what?”

“Check your currency accounts,” Kryel says to my sister.

Idun hands her a tablet and in seconds she’s gasping with surprise. “What is this? Just yesterday there was zero currency in this account and now I’m a multi-millionaire? How did this happen?”

I shrug. “You’re my twin and I told mom I’d take care of you, so I gave you half of what I have.”

“You can’t…”

“I can and I did.”

“But I don’t deserve this. This is your currency that you earned through your own hard work.”

“You do deserve this. You’re my sister and you work as hard as I do, but all if was volunteer work. This will allow you to carry on with that. In the future I’ll always think of you as the person who makes sure that my extra currency is out there doing good in the universe.”

Jada’s eyes water with emotion. “Idun, I’m rich again,” my sister tells her husband.

He groans with disappointment.
