I spun in a slow circle, looking out into the endless blue sea for my merman. He swam into view, his dark hair drifting around him and his eyes glowing. Zeno flattened his palm against the glass, and I quickly pressed my hand against his on the opposite side of the thick window.

How is that supposed to work while you are out there and we are in here?I purred to him, the siren eager to get started enjoying her mates.

Give me legs, was his quick response.

I stiffened, my mind struggling to comprehend his three simple words. He’d refused to give up his tail on every other occasion the topic had been brought up. Why was he suddenly changing his mind now?

Because tonight is about you and…He narrowed his eyes at the men pressing against my back, our family. Tonight we should be together. However, I do not wish to walk around these men. I have no desire to hear their laughter at my childish attempts to walk on two legs.

Of course, he wouldn’t want to risk anyone laughing at him, even good-naturedly. The man was stubborn and proud.I nodded.

I can send you to my bed, and you can remain there until you are ready to return to the sea.At least I hoped I could send him there. My skills with blinking others were limited to a few feet of distance and only to a place I was looking at.

I trust you.Zeno sounded so confident in my abilities.

Closing my eyes, I pictured the massive bed in my palace bedchamber, and then pictured Zeno in it, dry and with two legs instead of a tail. My skin with the etched tattoos burned, but I ignored the discomfort and focused on my goal. When the burning stopped, I opened my eyes, my heart trembling with trepidation.

Zeno was gone.

“Where did he go?” Storm asked.

“Princess? Where did you put Zeno?” Eason asked.

“I bet I know!” Kye gathered me in his arms, laughing as I shrieked in shock. I could do little but cling to his neck as he sprinted out of the room and down the long hall… and straight toward my bedroom.

It was strange how Kye, the least serious out of my mates—well, besides Lokene—seemed to be the fastest to figure things out about me. He may not be the most physically intimidating of my men, but he had a quick mind and was sensitive to the slightest changes around him.

“I knew it!” Kye crowed as he rounded the corner and caught sight of Zeno propped up on the bed.

“You survived!” I blurted in relief.

“You questioned if I would?” Zeno asked, mock horror on his face.

I opened my mouth to lie, but the words got stuck. As a hot blush spread across my cheeks, Zeno chuckled.

“Do you have legs? Let me see, dude!” Kye tossed me on the bed, eagerly crawling up after me.

It was Zeno’s turn to look uncomfortable, and he gripped the blanket a little tighter around his waist.

“Did it not work?” I sucked my bottom lip between my teeth and eyed the shape of his legs beneath the blanket.

“Yes, it worked fine. I am just unaccustomed to this form,” Zeno growled, refusing to meet my eye.

“Don’t tell me she gave you a tiny—” Kye choked on his laughter, and I elbowed him in the gut.

“Who has a tiny penis?” Storm asked as he came into view. Seeing us on the bed, he immediately began removing his shirt.

“Who said it was tiny? It is likely average. The average male penis is—” Fynn came into the room behind Storm, one hand pushing his glasses up his nose.

“It’s not tiny!” Zeno shouted in exasperation, tossing the blanket to the side and giving us an unobstructed view of what had to be a record-setting erection for males with a human body.

Kye yelled, grabbing a pillow to shove over his face.

“What the—” Storm barked before looking to the ceiling as though praying for lightning to strike him down.

Eason only grunted and collapsed into a chair that faced away from Zeno.

Fynn stepped closer. “Fascinating. You were able to give him fully human anatomy, Zosi. Did you pick how large he was going to be, or was it a comparative swap based on the proportions of his merman phallus?”
