“I didn’t plan to take another mate.” I chewed my lip. “It seems unfair to you, Bion. What if it means you won’t get as much time with me? I keep hoping that one day I can stop fighting all the battles of the world and have more time for my mates. But it seems unfair to consider taking a mate now when I know we may not get a ton of time together—at least not for a while.”

“I would give up everything for even just an hour of being your mate. If being claimed by you means I only get to see you on my birthday, so be it! I want to belong. I like your mates. Well, maybe not him,” Bion joked, jerking his head toward Lokene. “But the rest of the guys seem decent.”

Lokene snorted.

Guilt still ate at my insides, and I tried to get him to see reason. “We should wait. It’s not right to claim you now when I know I’m likely to gain something from it. If we’re going to become mates, I want to do it when you know there’s no ulterior motive. I never want my mates to question why I claimed them.”

Bion laughed. “Doll, if you think claiming me will help you in this battle, then I say let’s go for it! We both want this. Why wait?”

I traced his face with my fingertips.

Mine.

Yes, he was. But I should wait.

Bion caught my face between his rough palms. “What part of this are you not getting through your thick head? Claim me. Take me. Use me. Just please make me yours.”

I was trying to take the high road and wait for the right time, but the stubborn man was making it impossible. Time was running out, and I needed to get back to Earth. But it would not do any good to rush there if I didn’t have a plan and was too weak to take down Lexi. I wouldn’t be able to catch her off guard again.

Pushing aside any lingering guilt, I stepped into Bion’s arms.

I kissed along Bion’s red-stubbled jawline.

I had never felt this incredible in my entire life, and I’d never felt so blissfully complete. Once these wars were over, I wanted to disappear and just enjoy my life with my perfect mates. I knew that wasn’t possible as long as I was the ruling queen of Atlantis, but it was nice to have dreams.

I kissed the skin over Bion’s heart. Pressing my cheek against his chest, I listened to the steady beat. I wanted to etch this moment into my memory. The moment we became one.

Releasing my magik, I watched it dance along his skin. Turquoise magik etched a shimmering tattoo from the skin above his heart. A mark all my mates shared.

“Αν ?ρεε να ζ?σω τη ζω? ου ξαν?, θα σε ?βρισκα νωρ?τερα,” I whispered.

“If I were to live my life again, I’d find you sooner, too,” Bion repeated in English, whispering the words into my hair.

“I’m yours, Zosime, Queen of Atlantis. Please don’t ever let me go.” Bion’s words were hoarse, and his arms tightened around me.

“I never let go of what is mine.”

The blood of my two Ancient mates swirled in my veins. The power Bion had released when I claimed him as my mate was vibrating inside me. I’d never felt more alive.

It was time to go home.

It was time to remind Lexi exactly who the earth belonged to.

It was time to remind Lily who she was messing with.

They both had to die. But it didn’t have to be a horrible death… unless they’d touched what was mine.

Lokene and Bion both wore equally goofy expressions as they basked in their orgasmic afterglow and the lingering effects of my venom. They’d fed me a significant amount of blood, and even though they were Ancients, it would take a while to recover from that. Unfortunately, I couldn’t wait around for their bodies to recover fully. I had places to go and people to kill.

Grabbing their hands, I gave them both a squeeze.

“Let’s go home.”

Before they had a chance to protest, I blinked.

We materializedin my Atlantean castle beneath the sea. I hoped I’d find the rest of my mates waiting there.
