He pressed call.

“Fletcher,” Olivia purred.

Okay, she didn’t purr, but in his head she had. Like a damn sex kitten.

He stepped away from the crowd and walked through his penthouse to the private dining area. He left the lights off and stepped up to the floor-to-ceiling glass windows.

Three stories of glass.

“Why are you still in the office? Is anyone else there?” he asked, purring back.

Olivia groaned. Like, actually did.

He squeezed his eyes shut as his cock began to stand to attention.

“I wanted to lock in the media before Monday. Next week is going to be busy, and I get Sammy back on Sunday night.”

Sammy was Olivia’s six-year-old daughter. A little mini-me. Flaming red hair that curled haphazardly around her head with bright blue eyes. Just like her mom’s.

“It’ll be fine. You need to start delegating to Katy and Thomas more.”

“Not this stuff, you know I can’t,” she said, and he could tell by her voice she was distracted, packing up. “Anyway, how many bosses ring to tell their employees off for working late?”

The corners of Fletcher’s lips curled into a small smile. He put the call on speaker and sent off a text.

“I haven’t done a survey, so I can’t answer that, but I’ve just sent Frederick your way, so he will be downstairs in five minutes. He’s driving you home.” He spoke firmly.

“Fletcher.” She replied in a little growl.

He smiled. “Don’t argue. I’m your boss.”

“I can take the subway just like the rest of New York.”

Yeah, no, fuck that.

He hated that Olivia used the subway at all, but it wasn’t his place to say anything. But working this late for his company?

No.

That, he got a say in, and he wasn’t taking no for an answer. He would make sure she got home safely.

“Don’t leave him hanging. You know he hates it,” Fletcher said, staring out at the lights with his phone back on his ear and his other hand in his pocket.

He knew right now Olivia would be scrunching her nose and silently mouthing something rebellious.

They had worked closely together for nearly two years, so he knew her pretty well. Although recently Olivia had invaded his thoughts more and more, and he realized he wanted to know a lot more about her.

Despite the damn company policy.

She had a daughter.

He’d hired her so he knew she had extensive media and public relations experience in the hotel and tourism industries.

He knew she was single.

At least, he thought she was single.

He knew she was divorced and shared custody of Sammy with her ex.
