Fletcher let out a laugh. “I think I can afford it.”

He was surprised his brother had even mentioned money.

“I’m talking big dollars, Fletch.”

Whatever.

“Are you going to give me their details or not?” He stood. “If not, I’ll find another solution.”

Daniel cursed.

“If this is something I need to know about, or you need my help, you need to fucking ask.” He pulled out his phone and swiped the screen.

His phone pinged.

Daniel had airdropped the contact to him via iPhone.

Black Hawke Security.

Fletcher nodded. “Thanks.”

“The moment you contact them, consider yourself under surveillance. That’s how they work,” Daniel said. “A nice little surprise I got at the end.”

Jesus.

“I mean it, Fletch. Anything goes south, you come to me immediately.”

“Got it.” Fletcher left.

He returned to his office with guilt running through his veins. If there was ever a time to confess to Daniel what was going on, it was now. He hated omitting some of the truth for Daniel, but his priority was protecting Olivia.

Until they stopped Simon, it didn’t matter what policies Dufort Hotels had. He wasn’t going to let Olivia lose her daughter again.

Not because of him, or for any other reason.

But he had to think this through. Recruiting an organization like Black Hawke was a serious move. They didn’t exactly work within the usual laws. That’s how they got things done.

Fletcher’s feelings for Olivia were strong. Stronger than he could ever have imagined possible. It felt like she belonged to him, and it was his duty to protect her.

There were a lot of fucking barriers in their way and unfortunately, his brother, Daniel, was one of them.

He just hoped, at the end of this, their relationship remained intact.
