Fletcher swirled theice around in the bottom of his glass. He should have sent his apologies, but instead he was making bullshit small talk and fake smiling at theFive Stoneslaunch.

The premium gin producer had been a supplier of theirs for decades and their events were usually very enjoyable.

Tonight, despite the gin fountain and nearly naked gin ladies, Fletcher wasn’t in the mood.

He’d gone over the conversation with Olivia a million times in his head. His emotions were swinging around like a damn pendulum.

One moment his chest hurt, the next he was furious with her. He wanted to call her and demand she admit she loved him.

Then, he gave himself a lecture. She had rejected him. He had to face the truth.

Olivia Miller did not want him.

“Fletcher?” a voice said.

“Huh, sorry?” His eyes refocused on the woman standing beside him.
