“How was golf today?”

“The golf is great. Landon was on his phone every ten minutes texting with his fiancé, and Drew is getting serious with the activities director here, and poor Rob, I don’t know what he’s been doing while we’re all occupied.”

“Hopefully, Rob has found someone as well. Oh, I love this song. I don’t think I’ve heard it in gosh, ten years at least.” Outside the ballroom the slow sultry tunes of Eighties Madonna fills the air.

Squeezing my hand, Joe spins me around until I’m flat against his chest and wrapped in his arms, giggling.

“I’m crazy for you,” he sings low in my ear so that only I can hear.

“Touch me once and you’ll know it’s true,” I sing back, and sink into him. My heart is hammering in my chest, making it hard to breathe as I look up into his eyes and feel his lips press on mine. I sigh, closing my eyes and give everything to him, returning his kiss with a hundred percent of myself.

Slowly dancing outside the ballroom, a breeze blows through my hair, sending a chill down my spine.

“Are you cold? Let’s go inside.” Joe urges.

“The air is chilly, but my body feels electric. Alive.”

Joe leads me in a perfect sultry dance with a hand on my hip, and the other on my back. Together we sway hip to hip, and chest to chest. Between his legs, the steel rod of his manhood presses against me, reminding me that he’s a man with needs, and that I’m a woman with needs. And boy do I have needs. Pregnancy, and Joe, have made me hornier and wetter than ever.

“Shall we go inside?” Joe nuzzles my neck. “I’m not ready to share you, but I am excited to show you off to my friends.”

I run my hands through his hair, kiss his cheek, and keep my body tight against his as my hands make their way down to wrap around his waist. His cock presses against me to the last verse of the song as he bends his knees and angles his hip up to grind against me. We dirty dance in the moonlight for anyone to see, and yet it’s so romantic and heart heavy.

Inside, the music shifts to an update dance song.

“Footloose!” I grab Joe’s hand and pull him toward the door.

“Really? Madelyn, I don’t dance.”

“Oh, I think you can dance, Joseph.” Bouncing on my heels, I kick my feet out like Kevin Bacon did in the movie and snap my fingers, dancing around him in a circle. Joe grins. His eyes are locked on me as if I’m the only person in the ballroom.

Dancing to the theme song of the least sexy movie, I feel incredibly sexy.

When the song ends, I let Joe take my hand and lead me off the dance floor to the bar.

“Beer, IPA, for me, and an iced tea.” Joe orders drinks for us as a couple of men approach and fist bump.

“Golf buddies, I presume?”

“Madelyn Wheaton, this is Rob Julius and Landon Moore.”

“Nice to meet you, gentleman.” I shake hands with each of the good-looking men, and grin back at Joe. “Thank you for letting me monopolize Joe’s time this week? I hope you have enjoyed your stay?”

“Yes ma’am. You’ve made our Joe quite happy, and for that, you are free to monopolize away.” Rob teases Joe and pats him on the back before accepting a tray of shots from the bartender and passing them out to each of us.

“Oh, thank you. I’m not drinking tonight.” My hand instinctively reaches for my belly and in a flash, I see the acknowledgment cross their eyes. Joe didn’t tell them about the baby. My heart sinks. It’s my story, not his, and we’re not exactly a couple, but I still feel let down.

“Look, there’s Drew.” Rob tilts his glass across the dance floor behind me. “That must be his new woman?”

“Georgia. Yeah, I met her a couple of days ago.” Joe downs his shot and places the empty glass on the bar behind me. “She seems nice, and Drew is happy.”

“She’s a looker.” Rob stares across the dance floor. “I’m going to find myself a dance partner. Excuse me.” Rob disappears into the crowd of dancers.

“He says he’s in love. It’s crazy, isn’t it? So soon?” Landon shakes his head and tilts back his shot.

"It’s fast, but when you find true love, you just know it.” Joe rubs the small of my back.

“True, but I heard he made an offer on a condo here and is planning to stay. To uproot his life for someone he just met.”
