She closed her eyes, his words sending a surge of desire through her belly.

The sound of a drawer shutting startled her, but she didn’t move, waiting for him to hold her and take her to heaven. The bed dipped, and he rolled next to her, enfolding her in his arms.

“Brenda, I want this night to be a special, unforgettable one for both of us.”

Making good on his promise, his lips and his fingers started a slow dance across her body, increasing their tempo. She forgot everything but him. His hands, his lips, his body, his smell.

She moaned, her breasts tingling, her thighs churning as his mouth and fingers caressed, nibbled, licked, and controlled every inch of her flesh.

Excitement swirled when his erection thrust, pumped, and possessed her.

She writhed under him, screamed his name, and bit his shoulders.

Following his lead, thrusting her hips against him, she wrapped her legs around his waist, as his groans and her moans mixed. Thousands of silver stars exploded behind her closed eyes, and they shuddered together.

Brenda woke from a deep slumber, her head cushioned by his comfortable chest. She turned slowly, and found him peering at her.

“That was terrific,” she purred. Suddenly, she jerked away from him. “Oh my God, what time is it?”

“Only eight-thirty. Relax.” He brought her down against him. “As much as I’d like to keep you in my arms, I won’t let you oversleep. Why don’t you get dressed while I get the dessert? Coffee or herbal tea? Royce has several different flavors.”

“Herbal tea would be great.” She headed to the bathroom.

Fifteen minutes later, she joined him on the balcony. He’d cleared away the dinner remnants. A sumptuous chocolate cake and a pitcher of hot water adorned the cart. He turned on his cell phone’s flashlight to illuminate the selection of teas.

Choosing chamomile, she poured boiling water into a mug and added the tea bag.

“Matt, when will I see you again?”

“I have an appointment with my shrink on Wednesday.” His voice resonated with amusement.

“Okay.” She dismissed the professional meeting with a flip of her hand. “When can I come back here?”

“Whenever you want to.” His eyes shimmered with desire, and he covered her hand with his palm. “If you’re too busy during the week, then next Saturday for sure. I’ll pick you up at U.C. Same time, same place.”

“I’d love that. Thank you, Matt.”

“No need to thank me. We’re happy together.”

They savored their chocolate cake silently.

“I think we should go now,” she said, sighing.

They placed the used plates on the cart, and he pushed it into the kitchen while she collected her handbag and jacket.

He led her to his BMW and held the door open for her. She’d been on her own long enough to appreciate his old-fashion courtesy. As he drove away toward U.C., she sat quietly, studying the man she loved.

“You’re too quiet,” he said. “What’s bothering you?”

“Nothing. I’ll never forget our dinner at sunset and our dessert under the stars.” He’d made her blissfully happy, fully alive.

“How about our romp on the satin sheets?” He winked.

Warmth flooded her chest. “To be repeated.”

He reached over and caressed her cheek. “Soon, babe. You make the plan, and I’ll execute it.”
