“No. I would rather rent them during the winter season. There are so many snowbirds eager to travel to Florida to escape the snow. What do you think?”
“Good idea.”
“I’ll text Greg, and we’ll start looking for a house with a pool and a backyard, in a child-friendly neighborhood with a good school.”
She giggled. “You’re already thinking of school?”
“Well, we’re not moving again in three years. Are we agreed?”
“Yes, Captain Lopez. Complete agreement.”
“Another important question. When are we getting married?”
“How about a month from now? I don’t have any family, and I would rather have a small wedding.”
“Complete agreement, Nurse Garcia.”
She burst out laughing and wrapped her arms around his neck, needing more of his closeness.
“How about a thorough massage to help you sleep?”
“Complete agreement,” she whispered against his mouth. Scooping her into his arms, he straightened and walked to the bedroom.
