Danec turned darker blue than ever. "Oh, microns no. It's an intimate thing."
"We really aren't so different," I said. I couldn't help but wonder what our similarities were, biologically speaking. I eyed his groin. He did seem to have a bulge there, like a human guy, but that didn't necessarily mean it resembled a human cock.
"So, um… Do they feed us on board the shuttle?" I was hungry now, but not necessarily for food. Although, I could eat if it was offered. If, that was, my stomach would stop with the acrobatics.
"Uh." He tongue slid over his lips and I suspected he was thinking along the same lines as I was. Not about food, about other things, like intimacy. "The ride is short and the shuttle has no galley. But Moon Station has a large mess."
"I'm sure it does." I chuckled. 'Large mess' sounded like anywhere I stayed for more than a few days. I saved cleanliness for work.
Danec cleared his throat. "Would you like to ha-have..." He looked frustrated at his own stammer. "Have dinner with me?"
"I'd like that." When I'd stepped onto the shuttle, I hadn't expected to make a friend, much less dinner plans, but why not embrace it? My old life was disappearing in the window at the back of the shuttle, I should grab the new one by the balls and enjoy the fuck out of it.
That didn't stop another sigh from escaping my lips as the Earth turned and Australia passed under us. It too had islands around it once.
