"This works out perfectly, because I've decided which of you I want to choose," I said.
Now all eyes were on me.
I let them wait for a while, then cleared my throat.
"I've decided I can't choose between you, so I want to choose you all. If that's okay with you guys?"
I held my breath while they looked at each other.
"Works for me," Slek said finally.
"And me," Danec said.
"You know how I feel," Zarex said. "If they all give you what you need that I can't, then I'm in."
J'avet sighed. "I told you you're mine. I'm not letting you go. Besides, I'm getting used to you all."
"I think that's his way of saying he likes you," I said. "That's great, because I love all of you."
"We love you too," Slek said.
All the other guys nodded and gave me fond smiles.
"How long is this journey?" I asked. "Because it’s going to be a long time before I'm alone with any of you."
"We'll find a way," Slek said. "We always do."
"Yeah," I agreed. Whatever we had to endure, we always found a way to get through it. Together, we could survive pretty much anything.
I sipped my coffee and smiled. We could take on the galaxy.
