“Oh my god, Bell! You are utterly disgusting!” Tillie blurts past her laughter, and I just shake my head.

“Yes, I know. But without me, how would you know not to drink Aaron’s piss?”

“Umm, by not wanting to drink anyone’s piss!” I state, and she shrugs again. Nothing bothers this chick.

“Did anything else happen?” Tillie brings the conversation back to me, and my heart sinks.

“I kept passing out, so things got a little fuzzy, but Skipper was trying to get to me, and then the lights went out, and everything went chaotic. Skipper and Moxie got me out of there, and I spent the night at her place, trying to recover.” I keep Shaun’s involvement out of it. They don’t know that Casanova attends the Feasts now.

“Fuck Rhys. This is serious. You should report them.” Tillie stands, taking me by the arm and urging me up. I realise then that the bell has gone.

“I can’t. Exposing them will putmein the spotlight and also expose Skipper and Moxie. They’ve been good to me. I don’t want them to suffer because of my mistake.”

“Mistake or not, what those uptight rich fuckers did was fucking wrong.” Bell links her arm on my other side, and we stroll toward the side of the school hall.

“I know,” I whisper, not feeling like crying anymore, thanks to the MJ in my system. I feel nearly boneless I’m so relaxed, which will probably work against me since it will be noticeable to my teachers, yet right now, I can’t find it in me to care.

And that is also the MJ at work.

Tillie walks me to my Maths class and gets Allister to take the reins of leading me to my seat, sitting next to me so he can do damage control. Simon is in this class too, but I don’t see him through the haze of my lazy high. Marcus is usually in this class. I miss him. Like a lot. I want to talk to him. Feel his arms around me. Get lost in his earthmoving kisses. Even though I can’t have him, it doesn’t stop me from pulling out my phone and sending him a text… because I’m weak.

Rhys George

I miss you.

I’m a little surprised when he messages back straight away. But then again, he’s probably sitting at home serving his suspension, bored out of his brain.

Marcus Grady

You do?

Rhys George

Yes.

Marcus Grady

What’s happened?

Rhys George

Why would you think something has happened?

Marcus Grady

You’ve never said something like that to me before.

It worries me.

Rhys George

I’ll be ok.

Marcus Grady

What’s happened?

Rhys George
