“Not his girl.” Bossi must have grown some big motherfucking gonads because he stands from the couch. “She’sourgirl.”

“Like fuck she is!” Marcus steps forward, but Lexi steps in the way, causing Marcus to pull up.

“You said she told you about her addiction, so why haven’t you figured it out yet?” Shaun hisses as he steps forward. “She cares about you, man. Like really fucking cares, but she can’t commit tojustyou. It’s fucked up, I know, but it is what it is, and the only way to be with her is by sharing her. At least if we can get her to commit tous,” Shaun circles his finger in the air, “then she can have some sort of meaningful relationship. I know it isn’t normal, but nothing about Rhys is normal. She’s… everything, man. All I want is for her to be happy.”

I hold my fucking breath, waiting to see how Marcus will respond.

“You think, if we share her, that she’ll stop looking for sex elsewhere?” It’s a genuine question, Marcus’ face softening as he speaks.

Shaun shrugs. “It’s worth a try. If it’s the only way to be with her, then isn’t it worth a shot? If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work, but don’t you owe it to yourself to try? Would it really be so bad to share her with us?” He gestures to Simon and then to me.

I stiffen, my eyes going wide as Marcus turns his eyes to me, his brows shooting up.

“You fucking too?”

I sigh. “I haven’t done anything with her, man.”

“But you like her?” His brows lower and tug in close.

“I’m drawn to her, but I’ll never betray you, Grady,” I admit truthfully, feeling uncomfortable with everyone looking at me.

“So, if I didn’t have a problem with it, you’d wanna fuck her too?”

“Jesus fucking christ. There is more to a relationship than fucking! That’s the problem with Rhys. She doesn’t know that. She thinks everything is about sex. She’s never known a relationship that is about sharing your secrets. Your wishes and dreams. About cuddling, holding hands, and spending time together laughing. All she fucking knows is sex, and if you arseholes only want her so you can get your dicks wet, then we are going to have a fucking problem!” By the time I’m finished yelling, my chest is rising and falling rapidly as I struggle with the anger raging inside me. This is something Rhys and I have in common. We both struggle to control our urges. Hers is to have sex. Mine is to punch the fuck out of the nearest object.

“Wow. You fuckers really have done your nuts over this chick.” Jared chuckles, and just like that, Marcus grins.

“Fucking looks like it.” He admits.

The tension that filled the room only moments ago slowly seeps away, and our shoulders visibly relax.

“Now, doesn’t that feel better to have the truth out?” Lexi beams at us as Ayden leaves his post by the door and wraps his arms around her from behind.

We all grin, nodding because she’s right. It does feel better to have the truth out.

“In the spirit of being honest and shit,” Marcus mutters quietly, his eyes dancing between us. “I’m not sure if I can share Rhys. I don’t know if I have it in me to sit back and watch you guys with her… but I’ll think about it.”

“Good.” Lexi smiles. “You shouldn’t rule it out, Marcus. Not if you care about her as much as you do. It’s worth fighting for.”

“Such a romantic,” Ayden mutters against Lexi’s temple before he presses his lips to the side of her head.

“Can I go now since I have no interest in sleeping with Rhys?” Jared asks, and Lexi glares at him.

“No! Rhys is our friend, and she needs our help. You stay.”

Jared rolls his eyes but doesn’t move to leave.

“So, does anyone know what’s going on with Rhys?” Lexi asks, and I glance over at Shaun. He and Rhys have that sex club thing, and I get the feeling something might have happened last night when they went to that place, but I also know she’s got shit happening with her old foster parents.

“Her old foster mum has been harassing her,” I say, gaining everyone’s attention. “This Julie chick has been calling her and sending her messages, blackmailing Rhys into going to see her old foster dad in prison. She went to see him once. Rhys didn’t really divulge what happened, but she seemed pretty on edge about it. Then this lady said there would be consequences if Rhys didn’t go back to see her foster dad by Wednesday night. Last night.”

“Oh. So maybe she went? Maybe that’s why she was so out of sorts today.” Lexi frowns, trying to put the pieces together.

“She didn’t go to see her foster dad last night.” Shaun declares, gaining a murderous glare from Marcus. “She was with me last night.”

Marcus snarls and spins away, still struggling to wrap his head around the fact that his mates are seeing the girl he loves.

“Did something happen last night?” Lexi frowns at Shaun, and he shakes his head and shrugs.
