“My apologies, Your Majesty, but no. I have not seen anything like it. It was almost like a giant animal was shaking us, but we did not see anything. No whale. No shark. Nothing near the ship, at all.”

The two other men had looks of speechless bewilderment that I did not bother to ask them about their thoughts.

Suddenly, the sky darkened. Then, without much warning, rain poured.

“Return to the deck, Your Majesty. You will be drenched!” cried Emir.

“Tis alright, Emir. I am already drenched, and we are near land. I will stay here to see us approach Arrowspear.”

The rain became even stronger, coming out of nowhere. The three men scrambled to fix the sails after the wind joined the rain. My eyes were intent on Arrowspear.

Then, I saw it.

I saw the fire. There was one blazing right on the spot where the Prozeus palace should be.
