?? CHAPTER 24 ??

Macie

I shriek when Ryle tips over with a low groan. How the hell did this happen? How can I help him? I’ve got a first aid kit sized for myself, not for an alien the size of King Kong, with punctures in his leg that are bigger than my hands.

“Oh, God, Ryle, wake up!” I circle around to where his face hit the sand. I brush the grains from his eyelashes. “Please, Ryle. Please be okay. Wake up. Wake up!” How do you startle something three times your size? He’s so big, I could hug his whole head and not get my arms all the way around.

I punch him in the nostril.

He snorts and jerks his head back, out of my direction, thank goodness.

Then he sneezes. The air blows me right onto my back.

“Maysee!” he booms.

His hand wraps around my whole torso. He lifts me and places me back on my feet.

Like, wow. I think he doubled or even tripled in size. I thought he was big before? At least he was somewhat within the range of human-sized. Now? He’s a titan. My Ryle. I can’t even look him in the eye when he rises fully upright. He’s naked now, too. His kilt must have been torn to shreds, all of his supplies left behind in the forest. His cock stands hard and straining, and he presses his wrist against it in obvious discomfort.

He twists his leg to examine it.

“Stop looking,” I tell him. “You’ll pass out again.”

“Much blood,” he says.

“I know, big guy. I can’t plug you up if you’re this huge. Can you shrink?”

“Shrink?” He lifts his arm as if to check the translator on his device, but that’s fallen away, too.

“Be smaller,” I tell him.

“How?” He frowns, glances at the blood pumping from his leg wounds, and looks immediately away again. “Must wrap.”

Yeah, we’ve got to stop the bleeding. I would have had serious trouble dragging his unconscious body up the beach at his regular size. Now it would be completely impossible.

“Go wash,” I instruct him. “I’ll think of something.” I don’t know if “infection” ever made it into his dictionary, but he shuffles into the water without further questions.

And several yards away, the monkey takes a long, gurgling breath.

I’m a little relieved it’s alive and hope it will be okay. I hope it will flee, but I hope it’ll recover. This was his home first. He was only defending his territory. I recall a large gorilla-like creature amongst the beetle-alien drawings. Were they afraid of it, or did they hunt it?

Ryle sits in the water, allowing the waves to wash over him up to his waist. He shouldn’t rest there. That blood could attract predators.

And I’m really coming up empty on ideas. I’ve got nothing to bind those wounds with. The bandages in my first aid kit are way too tiny. I have no other material, except... Well, shit.

I strip off my jumpsuit. Ryle’s morose expression morphs into intrigue, then a smirk. “I will be gentle,” he says, and he strokes his cock once.

“That is not what we’re doing,” I say, absolutely aghast. First of all, he’s injured! But second, as far as him putting that massive thing somewhere? I was already at my limit when he was normal-sized. That? I don’t think that fits anywhere. “Up. Stand here.” I point before me.

The monkey groans. Ryle eyes it as he leaves the water. He keeps his eyes locked on it as I examine his wounds. I’m eye level with his thigh now, and yeah, his dick, too. But I focus on the bloody holes. At least they seem clean? I’m no doctor. We can have him examined when we get back to our camp. If he even fits in the med bay.

I wrap my jumpsuit around his leg, covering the punctures. I tie it tight, arms to legs, pulling until I can’t pull anymore. The tighter the better. I’m not satisfied until he grunts at me. He’s not bleeding out on my watch.

“There,” I say, satisfied with my work. The suit quickly turns red, but the blood isn’t running down his leg anymore. Hopefully, this will slow it enough to start healing.

“Thank you,” he says. His hand hovers over my head as if he doesn’t know what to do with it. Where to put it. He settles on patting me on the head.

The monkey groans again. Ryle takes a threatening step towards it. I turn in time to see it flinch and shrink away. Its breath rasping, it stumbles its way towards the woods.
