She froze, and he watched the play of emotions cross her face. “You two were instrumental with my dad’s hospital situation…”

“Uh-huh. What else?”

“My fall tuition, too.”

“Don’t forget your ‘job’ and your fucking landlord,” Beck added.

“Your dad’s funeral, scattering his ashes… The trips this week? In case you hadn’t guessed, we’re trying to help you keep your promise to spread your wings.” Seth took her face in his hands, willing her to understand. “There’s nothing we wouldn’t do for you.”

She bit her lip. “Raine told me that.”

“That might be the first thing I’m grateful she’s said to our girl,” he told Beck.

The surgeon smiled. “Yes. But we need you to trust us in all situations.”

“Exactly. Tonight should have demonstrated why that’s important. If you’d trusted us, you would have known panic was unnecessary because we’ll always step in and lift the problem from your shoulders.”

“And when I don’t do that, you think it’s because I don’t believe in you. Raine told me that, too.”

Beck nodded. “She’s right.”

“We’re not like your mom; we’re not going to leave when you need us,” Seth said softly.

She slumped back on her heels. Her shoulders sagged as she seemed to shrink inside herself. “God, you’ve been so patient. I’ve done nothing to deserve you.”

“Why the hell would you think that?”

Heavenly finally looked up, trying hard to fight tears. “What have I ever given you in return except sex?”

“You think Beck and I are sitting around saying, ‘Well, we helped her out of a scrape, bought her a purse, and flew to Wisconsin; therefore, she owes us a fucking? Or anything else?” That just pissed Seth off. “What are the only things we’ve asked you for?”

“Time. Honesty.” She pressed her lips together. “Trust. I haven’t been very good at giving you any of those. I’m sorry.”

“We don’t want your apology. We want you to be open with us. No more hiding anything. Ever. Understood?”

“Yes, Sir.”

“Perfect.” Beck held out his hand. “On your feet. Time to go to the bedroom so we can fuck you, little girl.”

She put her trusting hand in his and rose, smoothing down her dress while she gauged the distance between her and the bed. “Will you carry me there?”

“Not a chance in hell. You’re going to walk every single one of those steps. No coming.”

She whimpered but began a slow, experimental amble. As he and Beck filed in behind her, Seth turned to the other guy with a grin, both stripping off their shirts as they followed.

She’d cooled off some during their discussion, but the beauty of his gift was that it didn’t take long to ramp her back up. By the fifth step, she started to tiptoe. Another three had her shifting and moaning. Two more forced her to ball her fists, pause, and drag in a deep breath. The best part? She was barely halfway to the bed.

Seth couldn’t resist tossing his shirt over the dining room chair to free up his hands so he could plaster his body behind hers and “help” adjust the beads just right. Her clit felt like a pulsing little pebble beneath his fingers.

She gasped and reached back, digging her claws into his thigh. With a chuckle, he lifted her hand away and brought it to his lips, kissing her sweetly, even as his fingers played mercilessly in her pussy.

“Don’t… I’m dying.”

Beck stepped in and gave her a long once-over. “I don’t know about dying. Your cheeks are awfully flushed. Your respiration is definitely accelerated. I should probably check your pulse.” He palmed the area over her heart, just above her breast…then slid his hand lower to fondle her nipple. “Definitely rapid. As a medical professional, I think we should take a closer look and see if we can diagnose the problem.”

“You’re tormenting me,” she wailed.

Seth grinned and got in the spirit. “She’s also very wet, Doctor. Maybe you should investigate that, too?”
