Heavenly nodded and got to work while her friend drifted out to the bedroom and began unloading today’s mall haul from its bags. “Which dress do you think will be good for drinks and dinner tonight?”

Heavenly tried not to blink and get mascara all over her face. “Are you sure?”
“Positive. They’ll love it. You done yet?”

A few moments later, she stood, swiped at her mistakes with a cotton swab, then dashed to the bedroom to find Raine smoothing out the dress in question and fishing inside a shoebox. “Wear the beige heels with the ankle straps. Ready to get dressed?”
With a nod, Heavenly shimmied out of her plain shorts and T-shirt.
“You’ll need these.” Raine rummaged through another bag and pulled out two filmy pink garments, then thrust them in her hands. “It’s a little something I bought for you to wear under this dress.”
“Thank you. You didn’t have to…” Heavenly said automatically as she glanced down. “They’re see-through.”
“Yeah, so they won’t show through the dress, just provide support.”
“Sure, but I don’t usually wear anything that…”
“Sexy?”
“I was going to say impractical.”
Raine laughed. “Forget practical tonight, sweetie. I’m going to find the comb and hairspray while you get dressed.”
When the brunette disappeared into the bathroom, Heavenly wriggled out of her utilitarian undergarments and shimmied into the new bra. A glance down proved she could see straight through the fabric. Anyone who looked at her would see the exact pink of her nipples.
Then again, wouldn’t Beck and Seth like that?
With a little grin, she slipped on the matching thong. It was really nothing more than two transparent strips of fabric over her hips, another gently bisecting her backside, and two little ribbons tied like corset strings over the fleshy pad of her sex.
“This is absolutely going to drive them crazy, isn’t it?” she called to Raine.
Her friend peeked around the corner, hair implements in hand, then grinned. “Oh, you’re going to kill them. And you’ll feel like one lucky girl come morning. Then you’ll know your real power.”
She frowned. “What do you mean?”

That sounded exciting but manipulative, which confused Heavenly. “But…shouldn’t I be more than my sex appeal?”
The pregnant brunette tossed everything on the bed and came toward her, understanding softening her face. “Sweetie, you are. Otherwise, they’d only lust after you. But they love you. Your pussy just gives them a really visceral means to let you feel their passion and their possession.”
“How do you figure all this out?”

With a little help, Heavenly slid the short, sheer garment into place. The delicate rosy-pink lace was crocheted and would have looked old-fashioned…if it wasn’t so short and sheer. The silken undershift was even briefer and seemed awfully transparent for a garment meant to provide coverage. Would they be able to see the outline of her nipples? And what should she do about the fact it barely covered her backside?
“Stunning.” Raine nodded at her handiwork, obviously pleased.
“It had such a big price tag for such a little dress.” She’d felt more than a bit guilty signing the credit card receipt. The guys had already given her far more than she needed. Taking more made her feel greedy.
Raine merely laughed. “They won’t mind. Trust me. Now toss on the shoes. I’ll get the rollers out of your hair.”
It was a precarious balancing act, but they both managed their tasks just as she heard the slam of a car door out front.
