“Um, wow,” I say touching my lips.
“Sorry, did I take it too far? This is my first love scene.”
“No. uh, me too, that was perfect,” I tell him. “Have we met?”
“Yes. A long time ago. I was an extra.”
“Oh. That’s it? The only place?”
“I think so,” he says and instantly I don’t believe him. I know I’ve seen him in person recently.
“So, I guess I’ll see you in Bath?”
“You will.”
I leave the room hastily but pause just outside, leaning against the wall.
Breathe, Jenna, Breathe.
This is going to be fun.

Three DaysLater
I look over the call sheet that Kylie just handed me. Three scenes today. All kissing scenes, but no lovemaking scenes yet.
“You ready?” Kylie asks while I am sitting the hair and makeup trailer.
“Yes.”
“Good. Give me your phone. Tracy is done.”
I hand my phone over and give her my coffee cup to have ready for me between takes.
Just as I am coming out of hair and makeup, I see Darren coming out of wardrobe across the way. Shitttt. He looks good in that uniform.
“Good morning, Jenna,” he says, his Scottish brogue is somehow more defined here.
“Good morning, Darren.”
“Are you ready?”
“More than,” I say, taking his offered arm as he walks me to shooting location about five hundred feet away.
“You both opted not use an intimacy coordinator. Is that still the case? I have one standing by,” Aric says coming over to us.
“No. I’m all good,” I say.
“Me too,” Darren says.
“Okay. Well let’s begin, shall we?” He pulls his headset on and sits in his chair.
“Places,” the assistant director, Nadine calls.”
“Action!”
“You shouldn’t be here, Gavin. My father will kill you.”I follow all the scene directives, but I don’t think I actually need them.
