She left me to dress and headed off into the kitchen, which was an extension of the living room.

I went to sit down when Theadora raced out of the tiny kitchen and cleared away the mess on the sofa.

“I am so sorry.” She looked embarrassed. “I’m not the tidiest person.”

I shrugged. “That’s why maids were invented. And thank god for that.”

“But you asked me to clean to get into my panties.”

I stretched back on the lumpy sofa. “Guilty as charged.” I chuckled. “I wanted you badly after watching you bend over in those tight blouses.”

That steamy admission shot arousal down to my dick.

Not helped by seeing her move about in that T-shirt. Knowing that she was naked beneath, I begged the porno gods to make her bend over.

She poured water into cups. “You speak as though I seduced you on purpose.”

I studied her face for signs of resentment. Instead her eyes teased. “You don’t have to do much for my dick to thicken.”

She carried out a plate with a toasted sandwich and a cup of tea, and placed it on the table, clearing away sheet music, coursebooks, and notepads.

“How are your studies going?”

“They’re going well enough.” She went back into the kitchen and returned with another plate and cup of tea as she settled on the chair in front of me, propping her lean, toned legs on the coffee table.

I copped a view of her pussy as she repositioned herself, and the plate on my lap nearly flew off.

Hadn’t we just fucked?

I pointed. “Um… I can see everything, Theadora, and I’m finding it hard to eat.”

Giggling, she adjusted her T-shirt. “Sorry. We can’t put you off your meal.”

“Oh, you’re not putting me off. If anything, I’m fucking ravenous again.”

She laughed. “You’re a sex maniac.”

“Around you I am.” I took a bite of the sandwich, and cheese oozed onto my tongue, and my taste buds jumped for joy.

“How is it?” she asked.

“Delicious. I’m starved. Great call.”

“Is that enough? I can make more.” She went to rise.

I gestured. “No. Please. Finish yours. This will be fine.” I took sip of the warm tea, made to perfection. Theadora had remembered how I liked my tea. Something I was fussy about.

“I hope you don’t think I’m a slob living like this,” she said.

“I’m not here to judge. I’m just loving every moment of being here with you. That’s all. In my mind this is nirvana.”

She giggled. “Hardly. You’re used to opulence and everything around you is expensive and choice. But at least we’re safe here.”

I stopped eating and studied her. “By that you mean you and Lucy?”

She nodded. Chewing away, she swallowed and then added, “That’s why I took the money from your mother. I couldn’t stand the idea of sharing with strangers again.”

I shook my head. For the first time ever, I realised just what doing without might actually look like. “You’re right about my life being filled with comforts and not having to face the grim prospect of homelessness. But I did do it rough in Afghanistan. We’d set up camp in caves sometimes. It was freezing and we didn’t exactly have pretty vases and great art to gawk at.”
