Styx: My Kitty Kat won’t be requiring your services in the future.

He read it earlier, but never responded. And when I woke up sometime before lunch I was disappointed to discover he was still ignoring me.

But apparently, his silence is over.

Jack Off: We’ll see…

Styx: I’m serious, stay the fuck away from her.

The little dots start bouncing almost immediately, but in the end, no words come through instead, there’s a photo.

“No,” I bark, staring down at the image of their smiling faces.

Glancing at the time, realization hits. The motherfucker has picked her up from school.

“Fuck. FUCK,” I bellow, kicking a bottle that’s rolled from somewhere, sending it flying toward the wall where it shatters, spilling fuck knows what everywhere.

Styx: Where are you taking her?

I stare at the screen waiting for the message to show as read for longer than any sane person, but those ticks never change color.

Opening the picture again, I ignore his taunting, amused eyes and the smirk playing on his lips, and focus on Kat.

Her eyes are alight with excitement, her arms locked around Ryder’s body, ready to take off on a little road trip on his bike.

Anger and jealousy collide, the mixture dripping through my veins like poison.

“Mine,” I growl. “She’s fucking mine.”

Then maybe you need to stop fucking everything up.

I think back to last night, to what I stupidly said in my drunken stupor after I’d taken her.

In all fairness, she’d just blown my goddamn mind again. Her pussy. Fuck. It’s like my kryptonite. Add that to all the vodka in my bloodstream and my brain wasn’t functioning, and the words just spilled out of my mouth.

I regretted them the second I heard them.

What I should have done was just tell her how fucking awesome she is, how much she owns me, and hold her so fucking tight that she’d understand that I’m never fucking letting go.

But I didn’t because I’m a stupid fucking cunt who can never say the right thing.

Styx: Ryder…

Styx: Don’t fucking touch her.

Neither of the messages get read, dragging up an image of them riding around town on his bike with her wrapped around him like a fucking spider monkey as she squeals in excitement.

I’ve just got to hope that that’s the only ride he’s intending on giving her today.

My heart jumps into my throat when my cell starts ringing in my hand. But disappointment soon floods my veins when I find an unknown number staring back at me.

Canceling the call, I punish myself by taking one more look at the cell and stuffing it back in my pocket.

As much as I might want to, I can’t lock myself back here for the rest of my shift.

Apparently, I’m the fucking boss now since Ash announced to Marcus that I was going to be her replacement.

I still haven’t decided if I even want it. But what the fuck else am I going to do?
