Atleastthree children to be more accurate, according to Warren and Adrian who both insisted upon more. Luke and I were still on the fence about that part, but it was a bridge we’d cross when we came to it.

A thriving business.

The garage had been busier than ever, thanks to our move. We had tons of new work from all around, plus a good number of restorations to keep Warren happy. Adrian and Luke had even rented a scissor lift, and were in the process of fixing up the old drive-in movie screen. The plan was to show free summer movies next year, for children of the surrounding townships. Only we’d be laying out blankets in the grass rather than parking spaces for cars.

And another business on the way…

I’d not only acquired my veterinary technician’s license, but I’d also agreed to take over the animal hospital when Emmett retired. Which could be any moment now really, because with each passing year he’d wink at me and promise it was ‘probably’ his last.

Didn’t matter. I loved the work anyway, and always came home happy.

“You almost ready?” I heard Warren call. “We’re starving.”

“One second!”

I finished cleaning the streaks from my cheeks and reapplying my mascara. Other than my eyes being a tiny bit puffy from crying, I was back in business.

“Okay, let’s roll.”

Back in the main suite, my three hot dates were more than ready. Two of them looped their arms through mine, while the third held the door open.

“You’re spoiled,” Adrian quipped. “You know that?”

“Oh I’m well aware,” I replied nonchalantly. “But I spoil you boys too and you know it.”

One by one I poked them, on the way to the elevator. It felt good to be away. To put work and business behind us, even for a single weekend, just so we could get down to the city and enjoy each other.

“So about the three rings thing…” Warren started hesitantly.

“Yeah?” I chuckled.

“How about one ring with three diamonds.”

“Three reallybigdiamonds?” I inquired.

“Big enough,” Luke answered. “Sure.”

I squinted as if considering before shaking my head. “I dunno,” I teased. “I’d have to see them.”

“Damn,” Warren groaned. “You reallyarespoiled!”

I sighed happily as we entered the elevator. “And don’t you forget it.”

All the way down to the street level I stood smiling, absently rubbing my pregnant belly. When life threw you a lemon, you made lemonade. And when life tossed you three at once?

Well… you turned it around and made a family out of them.

“Did I mention I love being your shared fiancée?” I asked, squeezing the two hands on either side of me.

The guys beamed as I practically glided down the sidewalk, floating on the giddiness of cloud nine.

“Not yet I don’t think,” Warren answered eventually. “But we’ll remind you, so you can tell us again later on…”

He winked seductively and blew me a kiss.

“After we’ve really shared you.”
