“Anything,” said Kade.

“I want someone sharing my bed each night,” I said. “Orsomeones.”

An explosion of butterflies came with the last part. Maybe I was being greedy, but I didn’t care.

“I don’t mind if you take turns, or keep a schedule, or whatever. I like being warm and safe and in a pair of strong arms. And Ilovedthe feel of being wrapped around you last night. All three of you.”

“Sure,” Valerio said immediately. “We can do that.”

“Tonight’s between him and I though,” Kade said, jerking a thumb at Brock. “You got to sleep with her last night.”

Valerio looked crushed. “But—”

“No buts,” Kade cut him off. He raised one fist in the air, shoulder height, then looked at Brock. “You ready?”

They made the motion together, silently counting to three. When their arms swung down, Kade had rock. Brock had scissors. I couldn’t believe they were playing this game, with me as the stakes. And yet…

“Damn,” Brock swore.

And yet something about itreallyturned me on.

“Alright fine, you get her tonight,” Brock said. “It’s getting late anyway. Dunno about the rest of you, but I’m zonked.”

He lifted me as he rose, then bent to kiss me goodnight. Even with exhaustion in his eyes, the way his hands gripped my hips left zero doubt as to how much energy he had left in him.

“Tomorrow night…” he whispered promisingly in my ear. “You’remine.”

He retreated in the direction of the hallway, leaving me covered in goosebumps. Valerio rose, pointed to the mess on the table, then smiled at Kade.

“You’ve got cleanup duty,” he snickered.

Before his friend could protest he swept me into his arms and began kissing me, pulling me tightly against his taut, musclebound body. His tongue played with mine, his hands roaming upward and over the swell of my breasts before sliding back behind me, all the way down to cup my ass.

“Girlfriend,” he murmured into my mouth. The slight accent he put on the word made it sound exotic and beautiful. “I love it!”

He squeezed me with both hands, causing me to jump into his arms. After whirling me in a half-circle, Valerio broke our goodnight kiss and winked before exiting the room.

I was left standing over Kade, who was still lounged out in his kitchen chair. He swirled the bottle of beer in his hand before chugging the rest of it, while maintaining eye contact with me the whole time.

“Guess it’s you and me,” I smiled, wondering why my stomach was suddenly doing flip-flops.

Kade eyed me hungrily, despite already having sacked three pieces of pizza. He looked like a sexy monster, considering whether to have me for dessert.

“Guess so.”

“Why do I suddenly feel all the nervousness of being on a first date?” I asked.

“Maybe you’re afraid I’m going to throw you over my shoulder again,” he said, pushing away the last piece of crust. “Carry you off and plunder you even more thoroughly than last night.”

I swallowed, then arched an eyebrow. “Are you?”

His smile was all business, all pleasure.

“What do you think?”
