I only had to make it to the doorway, he did the rest. Standing just inside, Duncan had his back to me and was already pulling his shirt over his head.

My heart was racing as he saw me and turned, then took pity on my plight. With a gentle smile he crossed the distance between us, then swept me straight into his arms.

He positioned me exactly where he wanted me, like a spider prepping a trapped fly. I was entranced as he re-crossed the room bare-chested, in only his underwear. He threw two thick pieces of wood on the fire, then reached his arms high overhead and cracked all ten of his knuckles.
