Forever.
We fell limply into the ruins of the oil-soaked bedding, chests heaving, our legs tangled in a confused, trembling heap. The whole act had been ridiculously hot, incredibly naughty. All that was missing was a mirrored ceiling, so the four of us could gaze up afterward, at our own handiwork.
The thought made me chuckle. I was surprised they hadn’t thought of that, too.
“Sooo…” I said when I could breathe again. “When’s the wedding?”
Laughter. Smiles. Someone reached out and spanked my ass with a loud, perfect ‘SLAP’.
“And the kids?” I continued smartly. “How many did we say again?”
“Four,” Merrick answered.
“No, six,” Jace stepped in. “At the very least.”
“SIX?” I laughed some more.
“Yeah, what’s wrong with six?” Aurelius challenged. “Six is a full, round number. Six kids is nice.”
“Six kids is a cataclysm,” I giggled. “A trip to the asylum! And who’s having all of these children? Because it’s damn sure not going to be—”
I was grabbed, rolled over, tickled — all in one motion. When I got done laughing, they were all hovering over me.
“Fine, three children,” I allowed. “Maybe four, if you boys are lucky.”
They tickled me again. I laughed and cried until I could barely breathe, then waved them off with two flailing arms.
“Alright then, FIVE,” I coughed. “Final offer!”
I could see the love in their eyes. Sense the warmth of genuine adulation in their swollen hearts. I knew deep inside that I’d give these men adozenchildren, if that’s what they truly wanted. Not just because I’d give them anything, which I would. But because a huge, happy family was whatIwanted, too.
“Let’s see how you all perform during the honeymoon,” I teased. “And we’ll revisit the topic then.” I sat up and my stomach growled, reminding me I still hadn’t eaten. Not food, anyway.
“Right now,” I said, “I need two things.”
“Is one of them pizza?” Aurelius offered hopefully.
My belly tingled. “Actually, yes.”
My gorgeous Greek warrior grinned, folding his arms in satisfaction. For a split-second I imagined our children, all shaggy dark hair and bright beautiful smiles. My heart soared.
“And the other thing?” Merrick asked, as I bounced from the bed.
Standing up, I held my still-dripping arms out and chuckled.
“A wholestackof towels!”
