Thirty-Nine
DAKOTA
There was no ride back from Vale, and that’s because the guys had sprung for a fantastic hotel room. I knew this when they’d made me grab some things from my suitcase for a possible overnight stay, and the things I’d grabbed were exactly the type of things a girl might grab when she hadn’t seen her boyfriend — or in my casethreeboyfriends — for several weeks.
My body was tired, almost even exhausted by the sheer number of things I’d packed into the day. My mind however was awake and alive and racing with limitless possibilities. My excitement grew with every step of the walk back, as the guys’ hands began finding themselves in more strategic and intimate places on my body. I welcomed every one of them, and by the time we got off the elevator the four of us were practically racing down the carpeted hallway toward the threshold of paradise.
Once inside the room all bets were off, as the guys began kissing me in ways that made me instantly drenched. I’d imagined this night for weeks. Pictured it in my head as I lay in bed staring at the popcorn ceiling of my little apartment, while letting my fingers take me places only my mind could go.
“This night is going to be legendary,” I murmured, moaning into Aurelius’s beautiful mouth. I had one hand planted firmly on Jace’s incredible ass. The other cupped Merrick’s thick bulge, which I couldn’t wait to get inside me. “But first… we need to talk.”
I stepped back into the center of the hotel suite’s living area, so I could address all three of them together. They stood with their backs to the windows, silhouetted against the sprawling nighttime lights of Vale’s breathtaking village. A light, lazy snow had just begun to fall. The whole thing was picture-perfect.
“I want you to know I’ve thought about each of you nonstop, since Hawaii,” I started. “But I’ve also thought aboutthis.”
I raised my arm and pointed to each one of them slowly, then finished by pointing back to me. The gesture wasn’t lost on them.
“Iwantthis,” I said, and the words put an instant lump in my throat. “I can admit that now. It’s entirely unorthodox and it’s probably crazy, and I know it’ll be way more challenging than any traditional relationship. But it also comes with three times the rewards. Three times the fun, three times the excitement, and… well…”
They were staring at me now, and not just in the way they’d been thirty seconds ago. Things had suddenly gotten way more serious. Their expressions were filled with hope.
“Three times the love,” I finished softly.
It occurred to me that I was standing there in my underwear, whereas they were still fully-clothed. Strangely, it didn’t bother me. It seemed the perfect metaphor for what I was doing, which was baring my feelings for them. Every last one of my undeniable, emotional attachments.
Maybe even my soul.
“I once told you I wasn’tthatwoman,” I said. “The one you’re looking to share. Only maybe I am. Maybe I could be. We’ll never know unless we actually try, and the only thing stopping us from trying this for real has been me.”
I took a step toward them, unhooking my bra. I let it fall, noting the three pairs of eyes that follow its movement to the floor.
“Only I’m done resisting,” I murmured. “Iwantto be that woman. I know that now.” I shrugged my bare shoulders. “Maybe I’ve even known it all along.”
Aurelius and Merrick stood off to the sides, looking at me entirely differently than just minutes ago. Jace, standing between them, was equally motionless.
“You wanted a shared girlfriend?” I asked rhetorically. “Here I am. Only you’d better be ready,” I smiled. “Because although there are three of you, I can be pretty demanding.”
The sexual tension in the room was palpable. Our bodies were practically vibrating.
“Dakota—”
I killed Jace’s sentence with an appreciative look, but also the wag of a finger. This was my show, my time. If we were really going to do this, I needed to get everything out.
“You boys are always worrying about my feelings,” I said to him, “and that’s sweet. But trust me, my feelings are fine.”
I turned around, showing them my thong-covered backside. Hooking my thumbs through the hip straps, I lowered them ever-so-slowly over my naked ass.
“I want you to be selfish with me tonight,” I purred over my shoulder. “I want you to take me. Use me…”
My panties dropped, and I bent down with them. But I never broke eye contact.
“It’s time to show me exactly how muchyouwant this,” I whispered huskily. “All three of you.”
That’s it. That’s all it took. The guys scrambled forward together, practically elbowing each other out of the way. But they never reached me. I was too quick.
“But not yet,” I teased, leaping in the direction of the bedroom doorway. “Almost, but not quite…”
I slipped into the bedroom, swinging the door closed behind me until it was open only a crack. Then I pointed backwards.
“You boys should probably get on that couch and wait,” I winked sultrily. “Three minutes. Four, tops.”
My involuntary chuckle came out as wicked, if not evil.
“And when I come out you’d better be wearing alotless clothes.”
