"I can't help it."

"Aw, he's just excited to finally make an honest woman out of her," Channing says, jabbing me in the ribs.

"Who doesn't want a wedding night before their actual wedding night? You're just jealous," I point out to Alex, whose action has seriously trailed off since the loss of Cade and Ashton's whores.

"Tying down one woman for the rest of my life?" he asks, a fake horrified look on his face. "Couldn't think of anything worse."

"You're a shit liar, Rexford." Ignoring him, I turn to his cousin. "You ready for all this?"

He briefly glances over my shoulder, I assume at Phillip and Brandon.

"Hell yeah, I am."

Channing and Sasha will have their Coglio in a couple of months. Sasha is adamant that she wants to be initiated first so they can make history together as an Electi couple. Channing seems to be less bothered about that and more interested in finally being able to call her his.

The door opens behind him, and one of the waitstaff walks in.

"Gentlemen, please could you come and take your seats. Your ladies will be arriving shortly."

A bolt of excitement races through me at the thought of seeing Mia.

Breakfast first thing this morning at the house seems like a million years ago. The second we'd finished eating, the girls whisked her off upstairs to start getting ready. I have no idea what could possibly take so long, but I'm excited to see the outcome.

It's surreal walking into Gravestone Hall’s ballroom, the place where some of the worst events of my life have happened. But this time, everything is different.

I'm going to walk out of this building in a few hours with my girl officially by my side, andunknowingly to her, without being branded like a fucking cow once more. Because scrapping the unions of Quinctus heirs isn't the only thing I've changed.

We're welcomed into the room, but it looks different from all the other times, because the top table isn't empty, waiting for the men to take their seats. It's already half-full with women. The wives of the elders are no longer banished to a table like the rest of the guests. They're up here standing beside their men, acting as their equals, exactly as they should be. The only women who are missing are our Electi girls, but that won't be for long.

"Could you all please stand?" someone says from behind me, and I rush over to join the others, standing beside Mrs. Cargill and an empty seat.

Sasha, Annabel and Fawn all walk in first, Annabel slipping into the room while Sasha and Fawn walk toward our table to take their rightful places.

I stare at the doorway, waiting for her to appear, but nothing could have prepared me for the vision that appears before me.

"Mia," I breathe when she all but floats to a stop.

She looks… fuck.

Her ivory gown is incredible and hugs her curves as if it's been made personally for her.

Her eyes meet mine, and I swear a current of electricity crackles between us before her lips curl into a soft smile and she walks toward me.

I can't take my eyes off her as she comes to a stop in front of me, her floral perfume filling my nose, and my mouth waters to lean forward and capture her red lips.

"You look beautiful," I breathe, barely able to force the words out through the lump in my throat.

"You're looking pretty handsome yourself, Mr. Easton."

"Less of the formalities please, Queen."

She chuckles as I wrap my hand around the back of her neck and pull her into my body."I love you, Queen" I whisper in her ear.

"I love you too. Shall we do this?"

"Hell, yes," I say, pulling back to look at her.

Threading my fingers through hers, we sit down at the table and everyone else follows our lead.
