“You’re hired,” I interrupt, leaning back in my chair and hiding a grimace when my erection strains against my slacks. I’ve never had a hard on like this one before. My body seems to crave her more than, food, air and oxygen.

Her jaw drops as her eyes dart and she jerks when there’s a loud screech of surprise outside the door that sounds like a cat being dumped in water.

“What...?” she whispers, looking scattered. “Please, I don’t want you to make a mistake. I’m not experienced and I don’t want you to fire your secretary...”

“I won’t,” I say quickly, adding because I don’t even know her name, “Miss...?”

“Chanelle Leroux,” she says in a low voice, “But everyone calls me Nell.”

The name sounds boujie. She probably wants this job for connections like all the others but I don’t care that she’s inexperienced. In fact I’m kind of hoping she’s inexperienced in more areas than one even though I know that’s probably not the case, considering her age. Still, a part of me is desperate for her to be innocent, even though I’ve never given a rat’s ass before whether a woman’s cherry is intact or not.

But with Nell all I can think of is hers being all plump and shiny and ready to be popped. ByMr.motherfuckingSmith.

“Have a seat, Nell,” I say my voice gravelly and she sits down across from me. She seems tense, like she wants to run out of here and a muscle in my jaw ticks at the thought. “Exactly how old are you?”

“Twenty,” she answers, her eyes wide and apprehensive as if she’s just walked into a lion’s lair.

“Same as my daughter Lulu,” I say and a shadow crosses her face before she nods. “Are you in college as well?” She probably only wants this job over the summer.

Blushing, she looks down shaking her head but it’s nothing to be ashamed of. College isn’t for everyone. Never gone to one myself, even though my father had planned it for me. Planned for me to go to college and get a job in business just like him. Instead he ended up disinheriting me and I ended up leaving home, pursuing a hard but rewarding career in coal mining.

“No, I’m afraid not,” Nell says, licking her lips because she’s not wearing any gloss. Looking closer I realize she’s not wearing any makeup at all, her face freshly scrubbed and dewy like a spring morning.

“Where do you live?” I continue and her cheeks turn even redder, looking like little crimson moons.

“Close to the woods,” she murmurs and I figure she probably lives on Avenue Lane. It’s a luxurious address but not as luxurious this one. Which means she probably won’t be reluctant to moving in. Because shewillmove in with me.

I don’t trust anyone with that little goddess and I need to keep an eye on her. I need to have her caged by my gates and eventually caged by my arms. They might feel like iron to her or like a deadly trap, but they’re not. I might be ruthless on the outside but I have a soft spot. It used to be reserved for only Lulu but now it looks like she’s going to have to share.

A knock sounds on the door and my secretary pops her ghostly pale face inside, “Sir, you need to know there’s been a mistake. Miss Leroux has no experience...”

“I don’t give a fuck. Out!” I bark, and she looks rattled before exiting again. Stabbing my fingers through my hair, my gaze goes to Nell only to see her watch me with wary eyes.

They stir something in me. Something I’ve never felt before. They make me want to behave, like the girl’s put a collar around my neck and the thought makes my lips pull in a smile. Collaring me? The man who everyone calls the Rottweiler because when I bite, I refuse to let go?

If I didn’t know any better I’d say I’m about to get tamed. And it’s a strange, rare feeling to say the least.

“What?” I ask Nell and she shakes her head, causing her reddish strands to rub against her shoulders like brush strokes.

“I don’t want to overstep any boundaries,” she murmurs, not knowing that I do.

“You can tell me,” I say, trying to sound gentle and she lifts her chin and hell, she takes my breath away. The girl’s got some steel in her eyes.

“Maybe...maybe you should speak to your secretary like she’s...um, an actual human...”

She trails off under my gaze, gulping. I stare at her, right before I burst into laughter.

“Reprimanded by a little girl,” I chuckle in surprise, shaking my head and smoothing my tie. “I suppose there’s a first time for everything.”

Looking down she says, “I shouldn’t have said that. If you really hire me, I promise I won’t do it again...”

“Yes you will,” I rasp and she stares at me. “I want no holding back from you, understood?”

She nods and I get up, placing a contract in front of her. Giving her a Montblanc pen I say, “Sign it.” With heated eyes I add, “You’re mine.”

“Y...yours, Mr. Smith?” she breathes and I realize what I just said.

“My maid.”
