Despite my growing friendship with Julian, I’ve stayed wary of my changing body. The cans of de-scenter I stole from Delilah’s room have been helping me mask my blooming scent.

No one has noticed it yet but the brown locks of my hair have taken on a golden sheen. I’m starting to look almost blonde under direct sunlight now.

My boobs feel heavier too. The clothes that Julian bought me stretch tight across my chest now, but thankfully, he hasn’t noticed the change yet.

How much longer can I keep hiding the signs of being an omega?

My heat is also looming closer. Once that Armageddon befalls me,everyonewill know.

My guilt grows heavier the longer I keep it a secret.

Julian and the others have become kinder to me. No one treats me like the daughter of a man who cheated them. They enjoy teasing me, nearly driving me breathless as I battle my raging hormones.

“Do you like the ruby one or the emerald one?” Julian’s voice brings me to the present.

I’m dressed in a gorgeous crimson gown while Julian holds up an emerald necklace to my neck.

“The ruby will match the dress,” I say.

“But the emeralds bring out your eyes,” he says with a fond grin.

The table beside the mirror is littered with jewelry. The bed in the center of the room is buried under luxurious gowns. I’m living every omega’s dream but feel like I don’t deserve any of it.

I hate that I’m lying to Julian and the others.

As more days pass by, I can clearly sense they like me for the person I am. They don’t care that I’m a beta.

My guilt over lying to them becomes heavier but I’m also afraid to bring a change in our dynamics. Everything is perfect just the way it is.

Julian hums a song while I stare at my reflection in the mirror.

He can’t see the storm raging in my eyes. He’s busy rummaging among the bags to choose a clutch that will match the crimson gown.

“They all look great,” I say. “Just pick one.”

He turns around to face me. “No way. I’ll make the perfect choice for you. Just be patient.”

Footsteps sound near the doorway, so we both look that way.

“You’re not dressed yet?” Raiden says, walking inside with Damon and Caleb.

I stare at the ravishing sight before me.

Caleb’s dark hair is brushed back, revealing a smooth forehead and long nose. He’s dressed in a white silk shirt that’s paired with a classic black tux. His well-tailored suit further enhances his broad chest and muscular arms.

Damon stands beside him, looking like an otherworldly angel in a crimson shirt that matches his fiery red locks. His luscious lips curve into a seductive grin as his amber eyes zero in on me.

My pounding heart refuses to calm down as I gaze toward Raiden.

He’s dressed in a black tux that’s similar to Caleb’s. He’s as tall as his eldest brother but slightly leaner. The long strands of his dark hair fall into his ice-blue eyes, perfectly setting off his playful smirk.

“Wildcat looks beautiful,” Damon says, his tongue flicking out to wet his bottom lip. “Are you sure you want others laying their filthy stares on her?” The intense look in his amber eyes makes me feel like prey.

The omega in me comes alive at that look.Damn my fucking instincts, I curse internally as a part of me simply wants to run and make him chase me.

“I’m having the first dance with her,” Raiden says, winking at me.

“No shit, brother,” says Damon. “I saw her first.”
