“Can I come, too?” I hear Rachel ask from behind the bros.

I watch her stand and stride towards me with a forced smile. “It could be fun,” she says while stopping in front of me.

I nod and smile, yet inside I’m boiling. I force the word out anyway, not wanting to be questioned further on why I want to go on my own.

“Sure.”

I will just have to be quick and efficient.
