“No. I need to be alone, Rachel.”

“Ok.” I try to sound understanding, but my heart still cracks and I feel like at any minute I’m going to burst into a million pieces. I watch the door close, nibbling on my bottom lip while waiting for it to reopen; waiting for Lucas to come back to me and explain everything.

I wait several minutes until I realize that’s not going to happen.

I trudge back to the kitchen, finding Hunter and Seth both leaning against the island, looking at me with pity and worry in their gazes.

“Everything ok?” Seth asks.

I nod, turning towards the stove. “Everything is fine,” I say with a sniff. “Let’s just-”

I’m about to say let’s have dinner, but I gasp, staring down at the burnt Bolognese sauce. Quickly, I turn off the stove, but it’s already too late. “No,” I moan, grabbing the wooden spoon on the counter and stabbing the blackened beef.

Dinner has been officially ruined.

“What is it?” Hunter asks from behind and I grind my teeth as I hear him gasp. “What the-”

I groan, tossing my head back and clamping my eyes shut. Inhaling deeply, I try to calm my pounding heart, wanting to grab the pot and throw it across the room. So much for a nice night.

“Well, we could always order pizza.” I hear Seth say.

I whirl around, my hair smacking me in the face from the force and I scowl at Hunter and Seth. “But I didn’t want to eat pizza,” I say while stamping my feet, probably looking like a spoiled brat. “I wanted to make a nice dinner for us all to share outside.” I throw a hand at the terrace, where the plates and bottle of wine are still resting.

Hunter shrugs. “Well, you can always make it tomorrow.”

I grind my teeth to keep myself from screaming, knowing none of this is Hunter nor Seth’s fault. It’s my fault for getting so distracted.

“Come on,” says Seth while grabbing my hand and pulling me towards him. “It’s not a big deal.”

“Yeah,” says Hunter while stroking my hair. He nuzzles my air and I shiver when he nibbles on my lobe. “We can still have some fun out on the terrace.”

I raise an eyebrow. “Oh, really?”

“Yeah,” says Seth while taking a step towards the glass doors.

I giggle as he tugs me towards him, allowing him to guide me outside, onto the terrace and towards the table and sofas. I gaze at the setting sun in the distance. The Eiffel Tower is beginning to glow and I can’t take my eyes off it as I sit down. Seth pours me a glass of wine while Hunter sits next to me, pulling me into his lap while stroking my hair.

“It’s beautiful,” I breathe while leaning into Hunter’s touch.

“Very.”

I giggle, remembering what he said to Samuel. “You do realize I work at the Louvre and not the Loover?”

Hunter nips my ear. “I do now.”

I take a sip of my wine while Seth sits down next to me. He grabs my legs, putting them onto his lap and I moan while he massages my feet. “Now, where were we?” Seth says with a mischievous gleam in his eye.

A warm pit gathers in my stomach and I feel my insides tighten in desire while he runs his hands up and down my leg. Hunter’s arms wrap around me, his fingers inching towards my skirt. I wiggle against him, enjoying his breath hitching at the small movement.

“Somewhere good,” I say while watching Seth climb towards me.

He plucks my glass from my hands and rests it on the ground before dipping his head down. His teeth fondle with my button and my face heats, feeling him undo it easily. I watch him grab the zipper with his mouth, pulling it down while his hands slide up my legs. I feel Hunter’s hands move under my shirt, his fingers stroking the wiring of my bra.

Seth grabs my panties, pulling them down and over my feet before grabbing my skirt, leaving me completely bare from the waist down. I look around, feeling extremely embarrassed that we are outside doing this, despite the fact this is Lucas’s terrace and there’s no one around.

“What if someone hears me?” I whisper harshly while Seth breathes against my womanhood.

“I hope they do,” he says before lowering his mouth, flicking his tongue against my clit and making me arch my back against Hunter.
