“That’s all right,” I say while flipping Rachel over. I grab her legs and throw them over my shoulder. I give a wink in Hunter’s general direction. “You can still watch us go at it.”

I thrust into Rachel hard, giving her all of me. She cries out, her body writhing against mine, her hands trying to clutch onto my shoulders, my arms, the bed, anything she can get her hands on. I continue thrusting, clenching my jaw as I feel my time coming. I’m so turned on right now. I feel like I’m going to shout my release so loud, I wake up all the neighbors.

“Alex!” Rachel screams, her body stilling under mine, her feet pointing as pleasure slams into her.

I smile as my orgasm comes, shivering as I stare down into her face. I hear Hunter groaning, knowing he’s finally come as well. I grab Rachel’s hand, lacing my fingers with hers, holding on to her tightly as I continue thrusting through my orgasm.

“Fuck,” I mutter while toppling over her.

Quickly, I roll off of Rachel, not wanting to suffocate her. She cradles my hand to her breast. I glance over, watching Seth nuzzle his nose against hers. For a split second, he glances in my direction and I wonder if that is only a trick of the mind. If I want him to look at me.

I guess I will never really know.

Chapter 7

RACHEL

It’sthefirstTuesdayof the school year. Yesterday went by so quickly, I barely remember going to class and work. My face flushes as I remember the video chat I had with Hunter. We wanted to try having sex online, but it was a bit more difficult than we expected. It wasn’t the same. It was pretty much two people masturbating together, unable to touch each other. Honestly, I prefer him here with me, where I can kiss him, touch him, actually have sex with him. Seth and Alex helped, but I don’t think we will be able to do that all the time. Hunter and I do need some time alone to bond.

I really didn’t think about this well enough. Long distance is much harder than I thought. I feel like I should have done more research, spoken and interviewed people on the subject, rather than holding onto something that might fail.

I take a sip of my coffee, hoping the delicious taste and its warmth offer me some sunshine on this rather dreary day. The clouds are hanging low. It has been drizzling on and off all morning and of course I forgot my umbrella and jacket. All I have is my coffee. At least I’m not wearing a white shirt.

I smile when I see Charlie standing outside the door to the art school, holding an umbrella while looking around. She’s wearing more makeup than usual. Even her nails are perfectly manicured into fine points and painted black. Her eye shadow is more detailed with glitter and I think she’s even wearing highlighter. And are those curls in her hair?

My smile slips as I take note of her clothes, which is a tight black dress. She’s even wearing heels. Why is she wearing heels on a day like today and who is she looking for? I wave at her, but she seems to see right through me. It’s not until I’m actually standing a foot away from her that her eyes widen and she smiles awkwardly at me.

“Hi, Rachel. What are you doing here?”

I shake my head at her, wondering if she has seriously lost her mind. “Class, Charlie. I’m here for class. The class that we both signed up for.”

“Oh, yeah.” Charlie chuckles awkwardly. She even peeks over my shoulder.

“Who are you looking for?”

“No one,” Charlie says quickly. She undoes her umbrella and grabs my hand, pulling me inside the art school. “We should get to class. Wouldn’t want to be late.”

I frown at Charlie and my frown deepens even more when I notice a little mark on her neck. One that looks like she tried in vain to cover up with some concealer. “Is that a hickey?” I whisper harshly.

Charlie instantly covers her neck and turns toward me. “Huh?”

“It’s a hickey, isn’t it?” I put my hands on my hips. “All right, who’s the guy?”

“I have no clue what you’re talking about.” Charlie juts out her chin, but her hand remains on her neck, covering the love bite. She stalks down the hall, her head held high while she walks around with her hand plastered to her neck. I roll my eyes while rushing after her.

“Are you really not going to tell me?”

“Tell you what?”

“Oh my God! You’re not going to tell me!”

“What isn’t she going to tell you?”

I pause at that familiar voice, seeing Lauren hovering outside our Photography class.Oh, great. Of course she’s taking this class. Just my luck.I look around for a particular man in glasses, hoping this semester will not be another one from hell.

“If you’re looking for Josh, you can stop,” Lauren says with a long sigh. “We broke up. He’s not taking this class with me.”

I nod. “Maybe that’s for the best.”
