The soundof someone banging on the door pulls me from what has to be the best sleep of my life. With Tye wrapped in my arms, I could lay here all damn day and not have a single complaint. Unfortunately, the pounding doesn't seem to be stopping, and if I don't answer the door soon, it's going to end up waking Tyeler.

Reluctantly, I slip my arm out from under her and slide out of bed. I pull out a pair of sweatpants from my drawer and put them on before grabbing a shirt from my closet. I rush over to the door and open it to stop the noise. To my surprise, it's Tye's boy-hating, vegan roommate, as she likes to call her. I look at her like she's lost her ever-loving mind.

She takes a step back, and her eyes rake over my bare chest until she snaps herself out of it. Then, the scowl goes back on her face.

"Where is she?" she questions angrily.

My brows furrow. "Where is who?"

"Don't play dumb with me," she roars. "Tyeler. She crashed my car! Betty is totaled!"

I shush her, moving my hands to tell her to lower her damn volume. "Can you not be so goddamn loud? My God."

"I know you know where she is. She stole my car, drove it over here, and crashed it into your Lamborghini. Don't think I find that to be a coincidence for a second."

Rolling my eyes, I open my door wider and let her inside. "Wait here, and be quiet. It's nine in the morning, and people are still sleeping."

She crosses her arms over her chest but thankfully keeps her loud mouth shut. I quietly go into my room and grab my checkbook. When I come back into the living room, I shut the door behind me so nothing else risks waking her. After the night she had, I can only imagine the condition she's going to wake up in.

"How much was it worth?" I ask Beverly.

Her upper lip curls. "What?"

"Your car," I specify. "How much was it worth?"

"I don't know. Like four grand?"

I fill out the check and sign it quickly. If anyone knew what I was doing right now, they'd probably think I've gone insane, but Tye having to answer to the damage she caused last night is the last thing I want. Therefore, I'll do anything to avoid it.

"Here's ten. Get yourself a new car." As she goes to grab it, I pull it out of her reach. "On one condition."

"What?"

"You don't press charges on Tye."

She scoffs. "She stole my car!"

"And I'm giving you the money for a better one," I clap back. "That's my deal. Take it or leave it."

It's clearly not an ultimatum she likes, but I'm not concerned with what makes her happy. Tye doesn't do anything without a reason, and if she stole Beverly's car, it was because Beverly did something that pissed her off. Not that it was right, but I'm interested to know what that something was before I pass judgment.

She reaches for the check again, but I pull it away once more. "Deal?"

"Fine."

I finally let her take the check, and she snatches it out of my hand before storming out the door. At least that's one problem down.

Now I just need to worry about what the cops know, and if anyone saw her. Not only did she steal a car, but she was drinking, crashed it, and left the scene of an accident. Granted, the last one was entirely my doing, but still. She could be facing some serious charges.

"Your car is fucked, man," Jace tells me as he comes out of his room.

I nod, grabbing a bottle of water from the fridge. "I know, which is why I need your keys."

He grabs them off the coffee table and tosses them to me. "Where are you going?"

"To see my dad," I reply. "He's the only one who has the ability to get rid of the report from last night."

"He's going to be pissed when he hears about your car."
