“Is what true?”

“Did you really spray paint their bikes?”

I blink a few times. “How did you…”

“Everyone’s talking about it,” Robyn says. “If you keep this up, you’ll become a legend!”

I snort. “It might not have been my smartest idea,” I admit.

“What are you talking about?”

“Well…” I bite my lower lip. “The Grim Reapers… have they ever done anything like this before?”

“If you’re asking if all four of them have ever been fixated on one girl before, no. Definitely not.”

“Fixated?” I gape at her. “That’s not what’s going on here. They’re… They hate me.”

“Love… hate… two sides of the same coin.”

I shake my head emphatically. “Trust me. That’s not the case here.”

I shudder, thinking about the expression on Ace’s face. He had been so furious with me.

“Can you tell me about Gabe’s past?” I ask suddenly.

“I don’t know much at all before he started here.” Robyn shrugs. “Yes, I know the guys have been bullying you, but for some guys, that’s how they show their feelings.”

“That’s fucked up.”

“Oh, I don’t disagree, but if you don’t want to date any of them, why not push back against them and build up your reputation at the same time? In college, your reputation is all you have.”

“Yeah, and Rob tried to tarnish mine,” I say, bitterness tweaking my voice a little.

“Oh, give me a break. This isn’t the fifties! No one cares if you slept with him once, twice, five hundred times!”

“I don’t want guys to think I’m easy,” I explain.

“Who cares what they think?”

“Well, I’m going to eventually want to date a guy who doesn’t think he can get into my pants on the first date,” I say dryly.

Robyn shrugs. “If I like a guy enough… I’m willing to.”

“That’s you, and that’s fine!”

“See? No one cares who sleeps with who or when,” Robyn says with a grin. “So, do you want to be elevated to legend status or not?”

I really should stop now, stop while I’m ahead, but am I even ahead considering I don’t know enough about the guys?

But Ace did declare war.

And I’m not about to lose a war.

I grin. “I am legend. Hear me roar.”

Robyn leaves shortly thereafter, and I call Erika. I’m pretty sure she said something about one of her guys being a jokester. Tyler, if I had to guess, based on my time out there with the whole crew.
