“I know,” I said.

I let my hand stroke his chest, his body with the rippling muscles. There was not an ounce of fat on him. He was like a spring, coiled tightly, ready to go. I knew he needed me to help him relax and unwind.

“Let’s stop thinking about them,” I said, my hand caressing him.

“Let’s just think about us.”

He smiled and opened his eyes, turning to look at me.

“Yes, let’s only think about us.”

When he kissed me, everything else disappeared.

We were the only ones that mattered.
