"Fine," he said. He glanced into the hall before coming into the office and shutting the door behind him. "Are you okay?"

I nodded. "I'm as good as I can be."

He looked at the duct tape and his gaze hardened. "How long have you been tied up like this?"

"Half hour maybe." I looked at the clock on the computer. "Forty-five minutes."

"Fucking Christ." His hands balled into fists. Rage flickered on his face and before I could stop myself I shrank back in fear.

His expression immediately softened. "No, baby girl. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you. I just hate seeing you treated like this."

"I-I'm okay," I said weakly. "I promise."

"You don't have to lie to me." He strode over to me and gently turned the chair so I was no longer looking at the screen. His thumb grazed my arm, sending shivers down my spine. "I wish I could untie you."

"Don't," I said quickly. "Please don't. Cobra will kill you." The thought of Hudson getting hurt over me was unbearable.

He brushed a piece of my hair out of my eyes. I couldn't help but lean into his touch. He was so gentle. "I can't believe you're worried about my well-being, baby girl. You're the one in trouble. And I'm the one exploiting you, whether or not I want to admit it."

"Because you get off on taking care of people?"

He nodded. "Yes. I enjoy taking care of you a little too much. I can't stop thinking about you and how much I wish you were in my bed instead of his. I shouldn't be thinking of that, though. You're hurting and just trying to survive and I'm fantasizing about you as if you could be mine."

My breath caught in my throat. I loved how that sounded. I wanted it so badly. "I want you, Daddy," I whispered. "I would do anything to be yours."

His face crumpled for a second as if he wanted to cry. It was only then I noticed the bags under his eyes. He looked absolutely exhausted and miserable. "Would you be mad if I asked a personal question? You don't have to answer if you don't want to."

"I could never be mad at you," he said. He was stroking my face as if he couldn't help himself.

"Do you want to leave here?" I asked. "You seem miserable here. Are you sure you want to stay with the Demons?"

"I am miserable here," he said. "There's no hiding it. Not anymore."

"So why don't you leave? Why don't you get on your bike and keep going?" I knew Cobra didn't like people leaving, but I doubted he would put much effort into finding a biker who wanted to leave.

"I've thought about it," he said. "I really have."

"So what's stopping you?"

He removed his hand from my face. I suddenly felt a little cold without it there. "It's complicated," he said. "Why? Do you want to get rid of me that badly?" He gave a half-smile as if he was teasing, but he couldn't quite pull it off.

"I want you to take me with you," I said seriously. "I want to be your good girl. I'll do whatever you want. Just please take me away from here, Daddy. Please."

"Oh, baby girl..."

He leaned forward as if to kiss me, but the door opened before he actually could.

"What the hell is going on here?" Cobra asked, walking in.

Inwardly, I swore. Neither of us had been looking at the security cameras. We didn't see when Cobra left the Pleasure Room.

Hudson looked at Cobra, his expression unreadable. I wished I knew what he was thinking. Would he try to take Cobra right here and now? Would he make excuses and leave? Either way, I couldn't let him get in trouble with Cobra. "You stupid asshole!" I shouted at Hudson. "You should have let me escape when I still had the chance!"

He turned to look at me, and this time I could see the anger in his eyes. I felt bad for yelling at him but surely he could see that was the only way to keep Cobra's attention off of him. "Quiet," he hissed.

"Am I still the leader of the Demons?" Cobra shouted. "Somebody fucking tell me what the hell is going on or do I have to shoot you both right now."

"I tried to escape, sir," I said. "I was trying to bite at the duct tape and get it off me.
