She nodded, her eyes wide, her lips parted.
A growl escaped him. “You are looking at me that way again.”

Desire surged at her words, destroying his control, and with a muttered expletive under his breath, he yanked her to him. In one swift, sweeping movement, he had her up in his arms, his lips covering hers and his tongue inside her mouth.

The command startled her, and she stammered, “N-no one. No one has ever seen me naked.” When he didn’t answer, she lifted worried eyes to him, and when she did, only then did he smile at her.
“That makes you mine unequivocally, doesn’t it?”
She nodded, but she was just possessive enough to say shakily, “As you’re mine.” When he didn’t answer, she asked again, “Right?”
Whereas such a demanding tone would have irritated him in the past, coming from Daria, it only pleased him, and Nik allowed himself a nod. He wouldn’t give her the words, but he could at least acknowledge her claim.
It appeared she noted the difference, too, with Daria frowning up at him as she muttered, “I’m going to make you say you’re mine, one way or another.”
This time, he was unable to resist laughing. “You can try.” He could see she had a retort ready, and though hearing it would likely amuse him, right now he had other more important things in mind – as she should, too.
