“What else do you see?”

“Caleb. In his balcony, unzipping his pants.”

“Where’s Thorne?” I asked, taking her earlobe and biting down.

“Sitting in the corner. Running a finger over his bottom lip, staring at us like he wants to eat me.”

“You love to be watched, don’t you, Sunny? I can feel it. The way you clench around me. How fucking soaked you are.”

“Yes. God, Alek. Make me come. I want them to see you take me over the edge.”

I tightened my grip on her throat and played her clit like an instrument, coaxing the most perfect sound from her as she came. But I didn’t stop my assault. If anything, it only made me work her harder as I continued my relentless thrusts.

My name was little more than an incoherent moan as her orgasm peaked a second time, this time bringing me with her.

“Sunny!”

Her name was a growled roar as the glass cracked and shattered beneath my hand. My arms banded around her, holding her trembling body tight against mine, keeping her from falling with the shards as they rained down on the dancers below.

“That was,” she panted, “incredible.”

“Every time with you is incredible. I love you, Sunday. So fucking much it hurts. I can’t stand being apart from you.” As my whispered confession left my lips, a part of my heart was already screaming in protest. I knew our time was over. “Don’t leave me. Please. Stay. I need you.”

Already she was fading. The weight in my arms becoming little more than a memory.

“I love you, Alek.”

I dropped to my knees, mourning her with a fresh wave of grief as powerful as the ocean. Closing my eyes, I turned my face toward the heavens and let the tide consume me. I could almost hear the water crashing into the shore, feel the breeze on my skin, cold drops of rain hitting my face. This was it. Lilith had driven me mad.

“Alek, you all right, mate?”

My head snapped up at the sound of Thorne’s voice. I looked around, taking in the raging sea and the thick gray clouds. “Where are we? How did we get here?”

“I was hoping you could tell us that,” Kingston said. “One minute I was a wolf, running through the woods chasing Sunday, and the next I was on two feet, standing in front of a door. When I opened it, I saw you on your knees on this beach.”

“It was the same for me,” Thorne said.

“Oh, really? You were a wolf, chasing Sunday, ready to give her your knot?”

The vampire rolled his eyes. “No. I was feeding from her as I fucked her. Then she was gone, and there was the door.”

I pushed to my feet, knees wobbling, body swaying. “I... something isn’t right. I feel so weak.”

“I always knew those muscles were fake,” Kingston said.

“That would be the succubus. You’re going to be feeling the side effects for a while,” Thorne said. “I’ve let her feed deeply once before. You’ll recover.”

Kingston cut Thorne a sharp glance. “We’re going to have a conversation about that.”

“Later. Any guesses where the fuck we are?”

“If I had to guess, I’d say Ireland,” Thorne said. “One of its islands, perhaps?”

I let my gaze glide over the beach. That tracked. We could technically be anywhere in the world, but at least it was real. “Lilith did say in exchange for my... payment she’d help us find Sunny. Ireland makes sense given what Asher told us.”

Kingston huffed. “Rolling hills. Fucking green everywhere. And... you know, the priest is about as unoriginal as they come. We’ll probably trip over a leprechaun on our way off this beach.”

Thorne’s shoulders stiffened, a new awareness shining in his eyes. “Come on, you can search for your pot of gold later. Sunday’s here. Can’t you feel her?”
