“What is this place?” Kingston asked once he’d helped Alek settle on the couch.

“Caleb’s home. Our home, I guess.”

Their expressions all went violent at the mention of his name. Fuck. Things were going to get ugly as soon as the sun went down.

“Bit small for the five of us, don’t you think?” Alek’s rasp made his joke fall flat.

“I guess you’ll just have to do something about that when you’re back on your feet, Viking.”

He grinned at me, but it was pained. “I think I will.”

“You three won’t be staying here. Not unless we’re all on the same page.”

Noah’s eyes narrowed. “Of bloody course we’re staying here. We’re your mates, Sunday. I won’t be without you again. I can’t.”

“No one seemed to give a fuck about that in the library. Not one of you objected to your father’s plan. I may not have heard everything, but I was there for that part. And trust me, your silence said a whole hell of a lot.”

“If you’d continued listening, you would have heard all of us tell him no. Alek first and the rest of us shortly after.”

My gaze shot to my berserker’s. His silence had hurt the worst because he’d promised me he had my back not even an hour before they’d begun plotting. To know he’d kept his vow... it repaired something I hadn’t even realized was broken.

“Told you, Sunny.”

My anger and sense of righteousness were fading by the second. I knew I should hold on to it, but deep down, I didn’twantto be angry at them. It felt unnatural.

Kingston approached me, dropping to his knees at my feet and placing both hands on the swell of my belly. “I won’t let anything happen to our pup, Sunday. Ever.”

My lower lip trembled. “Her name is Eden.”

Kingston’s smile was like a ray of sunshine breaking through the clouds. He pressed his lips to my stomach. “Hey there, Eden. I’m your daddy. I can’t wait to meet you.”

Noah’s brows were knit in worry as guilt radiated from him. “I... fucking hell, Sunday...” He swallowed. “I don’t know what to say. I failed you. Both of you.”

“What?” I took Kingston’s hands and pulled until he was standing.

“There never should have been a moment’s doubt in your heart. If not for the things I’ve done, the times I abandoned you, you never would have had a reason to run. You would have known you were safe with us. I took that certainty away from you, and I’m so fucking sorry.”

“Noah, stop.” I wrapped my arms around him, resting my head on his shoulder, my lips brushing against the mark I’d given him. “I forgive you. For all of it. Now you need to forgive yourself.”

He let out a tremulous breath, his hands sliding up my back as he held me as close as my bump would allow. “I love you, bothof you. I won’t let anything happen to her.”

Tilting my face up, I waited for his kiss. I needed it. Kingston came behind me, dropping his lips to my mark as Noah gave me what I wanted.

A small whimper left me as my heart burst with joy. This. This is what I’d been missing. A part of me had been slowly dying without the rest of my mates. For the first time in weeks, it felt like I was whole.

“That certainly didn’t take long. I’d expected you lads would find her, but this reunion is a bit sooner than I’d thought.” Caleb stood in the doorway, sleep rumpled and sexy as hell.

Part of me—the horny part—was raring to go. Ready for all my mates to take care of every need I had.If ever there was a time for makeup sex, am I right?

But Kingston and Noah had other plans. Before I could open my mouth, they were across the room, slamming Caleb up against the wall. Noah wrapped a hand around Caleb’s throat as Kingston pinned his shoulders, his fingers shifted into claws.

Kingston’s wolf was close to the surface, his eyes a glowing amber. His voice a feral snarl. “Really, Priest? Because from where I’m standing, it took for-fucking-ever to find her. Now, what the hell do you have to say for yourself?”

ChapterThirty-Four

CALEB

Instinct screamed for me to take these young lads down. I could. It would be easy after how well I’d been fed over the last few weeks. With one swipe of my hands, I could leave them bleeding out on my floor. But this wasn’t about dominance. It was the moment I finally gave Sunday everything she ever wanted. The only way forward was for me to allow them their pound of flesh.
