“That’s got to be her,” said Evan. “Come on!”

“Can someone please tell me what’s happening?” I asked, excitement creeping into my voice despite not having a clue what was going on.

“A little present,” said Jay with a wink as the guys stepped outside. “Come check it out.”

I followed them onto the porch, coming to a shocked stop at what I saw. Clarissa was there in the driver’s seat of a big van which had the words “Painting by Dream” on the side. I gasped as Clarissa waved to me.

“Hey!” she shouted. “Get your butt over here and check this out!”

She didn’t need to talk me into it. I hurried over to the van, looking it over with eager eyes.

“Is this seriously what I think it is?” I asked.

“A ride for your new job,” said Duncan as he slapped the side. “We all got to talking and figured you needed something a little more suitable than her beetle to get from town to town when market season starts back up again.”

“In other words,” said Clarissa as she hopped out. “It was my idea.”

Evan laughed and gave her a friendly shove.

“Go check out the back,” said Jay.

I did, stepping around and opening the back doors. Inside was packed full of all the art supplies I’d need, the walls adorned with samples of my work. Tears formed in my eyes as I took in the sight.

“I…I don’t know what to say.”

“Say ‘I love you’,” Duncan replied. “Because hearing those words out of your mouth is really the reason the guys and I do anything these days.”

I smiled, turning toward the boys. They stood side-by-side, my men, my loves.

“I love you all,” I said. “So damn much.”

I kissed Evan, then Jay, then Duncan.

“Now,” Clarissa interjected. “I think the least I should get for playing my part is a little of that lasagna you’d been planning on making, Jay. What do you say?”

I laughed and stepped over to give my best friend a big hug. And together we went back into the house, my heart full of a love I’d never known, and eagerness to see what the days ahead held.
