"You'll want to be keeping that to yourself," I say, tapping the base of his skull with my gun again. "Matter of fact, you'll want to be keeping this entire visit and all of my business to yourself. Otherwise, you're going to have a whole lot of problems you can't solve, Hawk."

"You're what? FBI? DEA? Texas Ranger?"

"None of the above."

"You ain't Diamond PD," he mutters into the dark.

"Nope. There's a phone number on your fridge. Text it when you have something for me."

"Yeah, fine." He heaves a long sigh. "If you motherfuckers don't get me killed before then."

"We won't." I tuck my gun into my waistband and back toward the door, keeping my eyes on him just in case he decides to do something stupid. Cowboy may trust him, but I don't trust anyone. "You didn't ask for immunity."

"I'm selling out my brothers to a goddamn cop," he spits. "I don't deserve it."

I pause halfway to the door. "If they were worthy of calling themselves your brothers, they'd be lining up beside you to take down every man in the club involved in selling women like Sin's girl," I growl. "That's not brotherhood. That's pure fucking evil."

He says nothing. That's fine though. We both know I'm right.

"Jesus," I groan, pulling up the driveway a little after one in the morning to find Jessie's car parked outside my cabin. I drop my head between my shoulders, cursing up a blue streak when I don't see her sitting on my front porch. Her infuriating little ass better not be in the clubhouse, or I'll be carrying her out of there over my shoulder.

I kill the engine and climb off my bike, stopping at my cabin only long enough to stow my gun. As soon as it's locked up, I stomp toward the clubhouse. It's loud and crowded. I make my way through the converted barn, my head on a swivel as I search for my girl. She's too goddamn innocent to be here with some of the shit that goes on in here. Like what's happening in the corner right now. Rooster's got his hand down Jade's pants. And I'm pretty sure Lorna has his cock down her throat.

"Where's Jessie?" I growl at Ruin when I spot him at the bar with his old lady.

"Out back," he says, jerking his head. "When you see Risk, tell him I don't mind her visiting, but she can't be in here without him, Devil. I don't need him losing his mind if one of the recruits mistakes her for one of the club girls."

I jerk my chin in a nod, already headed for the back door. I don't tell him that Risk doesn't know she's here. Risk is still in Silver Spoon Falls. He's busy chasing after his old lady. He took one look at her when we were there and lost his damn mind. He hasn't been back to Diamond in two weeks. Hell, I'm not sure if he's coming back.

I step out the back door of the clubhouse to find Crow, his old lady, and several others situated around a bonfire. Jessie's on a log off by herself, her arms wrapped around her legs, her head on her knees as she stares at the flames. I stand in the doorway for a long moment, just watching her.

"And that's why you ended up with road rash all over your naked ass," Ghost says to Jinx, a recruit, pointing his beer bottle at him and laughing. "Told your dumbass you couldn't make that turn in the rain."

"Oh, I made the damn turn," Jinx says, grinning from ear to ear. "It was the fucking stopping part that was the problem. I went ass over tea kettle." He demonstrates with his hands, and everyone laughs, including my girl. "Damn near broke my cock."

"You're both idiots for riding naked," Crow grunts, shaking his head.

"You do this often?" Jessie asks, seeming shocked.

"Hell no," Jinx says, winking at her. "I learned my lesson the first time."

"You are so full of shit." Ghost flicks a bottle cap at him. "He was back out there two days later, trying the same fuckin' thing."

"Stuck the landing that time. How about I show you tomorrow sometime, sweetheart?"

Oh, fuck no.

I growl, possessive jealousy surging through me. The rules, right and wrong, everything goes out the window in a haze of red. She's mine. I don't give a fuck what anyone has to say about it. She is mine. He isn't showing her a goddamn thing.

I step up behind her, my heart pounding as the desire to yank Jinx out of his chair and rip his throat out surges through me hot and fast. He notices me behind her and the sly smile on his handsome face slips. He pales a shade. Even the blue of his eyes seems to cool two shades as he notices me.

"Uh, hey, Devil," he says.

"Jinx," I growl.

Jessie tenses as soon as he says my name.

I step up against her, seaming myself to her back. She tries like hell to hold herself rigid but fails miserably. Her body melts against mine, relaxing into me on instinct.
