“No, going there now.” I fumble around in my pockets. “Where’s my phone? I’ll have Loui bring the car around.”

“I’ve got it, and you gave Loui the night off. Let’s go. I’ll take you. But if she shoots me again, you’re on your own.”

“She saved me,” I say as Neo guides me into the passenger’s seat of his SUV.

“Yeah, probably in more ways than one.”

I end up knocking on Holly’s door. Neo is still here. Why is he still here? “You can leave now, you know,” I tell him.

“Yeah, let me just make sure she doesn’t kick your drunk ass to the curb first. You might need a ride home.”

“She won’t kick me out. She loves me. I’m very lovable, ya know.”

“Since when?” he asks as I knock louder.

I’m about to bang again when the door swings open, and Holly’s beautiful face comes into focus—okay, I may be seeing two of her faces and they both look mad. “You’re fucking beautiful even when you’re mad, dolcezza.”

I lean in to kiss her, but she turns her head to the side. I stumble forward and Neo pulls me upright. He’s always got my back.

“And you’re drunk. What are you doing here?”

“I’m here, because you’re here,” I tell her.Obviously. Because I want to be wherever she is.

“Sorry, Holly. He insisted on me dropping him off. Want me to drag him home?” Neo asks.

“My home is Holly,” I remind them. What aren’t they understanding about this?

“Okay, Romeo.” Holly takes my hand. I like the feel of her soft skin on mine. “Neo, help me make sure he lands on the bed, and not the floor.”

“Sure. Lead the way.”

I follow Holly. “Ow, fuck! When did that get there?” I don’t know what I hit but it fucking hurt.

“The wall? It’s always been there.” Holly laughs.

“You have a beautiful laugh.”

“Thanks?” She folds the blankets down, and I stumble forward as I tug my shirt over my head. I finally yank it free and throw it on the floor. I need to get out of these pants. I go for my belt but can’t seem to figure it out.

“Okay, stand up.” Holly pulls at my hands. “I’ll help.” I do as I’m told, and her fingers go to my belt buckle.

“Wait, hold up. Let me just…” Neo walks in behind me and removes something from my waistband. “…grab this.” He places my gun on the bedside table before coming back around. The room is spinning.

“Am I going to come across any more of those if I help him out of these pants?” Holly asks.

“You shouldn’t, but he’s likely to have a couple of knives strapped to his ankles. I’m out. My number’s in his phone if you need anything, sweetheart.”

“He’s an asshole.” I stumble as I point to my cousin.

“Why is he an asshole?” Holly works my belt free and unfastens my button and fly. She then bends down to untie the laces on my shoes.

“Fucking hell, how’d I get so lucky to find you?” Watching her on her knees is a sight to behold.

“I was hungry and your cousin has a really great café.” She smirks. “Okay, step out.”

I fall backwards onto the bed as I attempt to get my feet untangled from the material. Shit, the room is spinning really fast.

“Great.” I hear Holly curse before the blackness takes over.
