T walks in and nods his head once, and all five men exit at the same time. We sit on the sofa opposite the realtor. “Mark, it seems my wife is fond of this house. What’s the asking price?” Theo says in what I’ve come to learn is hisall-businessvoice.

“Forty-million, Mr. Valentino.”

I almost choke on air. I cough into my hand and look at my husband, who somehow appears unfazed. “Call the owners. If they can be out and settle within seven days, I’ll give them thirty-five—cash.”

My eyes widen at him. Is he serious right now? “Ah, T? I think we should talk about this,” I whisper.

He looks at me and smirks, then returns his glare to Mark. “What are you waiting for? Call them,” he barks. “I’m a busy man, Mark. I have plenty of other things I need to get done today.”

“Ah, yes, of course, Mr. Valentino.” The man stands and walks out of the room with his phone to his ear.

“I trust that you’re aware it’s in the best interest of your health to get this deal secured within the next ten minutes,” T calls out. The realtor pales as he nods silently.

I slap Theo on the shoulder. “You cannot threaten the real estate agent, T. That poor man is scared shitless.”

“I can, and I did. And he should be scared. You want this house, Holly, and I’m going to make sure you get it.”

The intentions are good. The actions, however? Not so much. “T, I want the house, but I don’t want it if the only way we can get it is to threaten people. Also, thirty-five million dollars, who the hell has that kind of money sitting around? That’s insane. Do you know how many starving kids that money could feed? Oh my God, am I a bad person for wanting this house, when so many people don’t even have a place to live?”

T picks me up and sits me on his lap. “Dolcezza, breathe. It’s going to be okay. The fact that you think about those less fortunate makes you one of the best kinds of people. And to answer your question, we do. We have that kind of cash.”

“Okay, but are you sure it’s not too far? Will this place be secure enough?” I worry my bottom lip.

He leans in and kisses me. “I’ll make sure it’s secure enough. And if this is where you want to build our lives, then so do I.”

“I love you, T, warts and all,” I say, kissing him back deeper.

“I love you more and more every day. Just when I think I can’t possibly love you more than I already do, I wake up and feel an even stronger connection to you.”

“Hallmark moment,” I whisper as I hike up my tight dress so I can straddle him. I grind against his hardened cock.

“Fuck, Holly, you know I missed my breakfast this morning, and I’m fucking starving.”

“Uh-huh, maybe you should do something about that,” I groan, my panties getting wetter and wetter. And then, T is lifting me up and readjusting my dress so it falls back down to my knees. I’m confused and dazed by his sudden actions… by the rejection.

As I stand there, wondering for the second time if my husband doesn’t want me anymore, Mark enters the room. T smirks and tugs me on the sofa next to him.

How the hell did he know he’d walk back in at that very second? Does my husband have Spidey senses?

ChapterEleven

“You’re moving to the fucking suburbs, T? You might as well just give up your balls now.” Neo laughs from the passenger seat.

I had the documents for the house within an hour of heading towards the city. I dropped Holly back off at my parents’ estate—made sure every fucking soldier knew that she wasn’t to leave the house alone. And if she does leave, they’re instructed to call me before the tires even hit the driveway. I’m hoping she’ll be too busy with Angelica and Isabella to need to go anywhere anyway. I double-park in front of the liquor store Holly made me promise I’d stop at. Apparently, sheborrowed—her words—two bottles of tequila yesterday that she didn’t even get to drink.

“I’ll be right back,” I tell Neo as he curses at the car honking its fucking horn behind me. The racket stops as soon as I step out of the car and stare through the fucker’s window. Ignoring the impatient son of a bitch, I jog into the shop and throw a couple of hundreds on the counter. The young kid behind the register just stares at them. “My wife said she owed you some money. The Valentinos always repay their debts. Have a nice day.”

I walk out and jump back into the car. Neo shakes his head at me. “So, the suburbs? Are we getting house staff? Because an estate that big is going to need maids, lots of them, in those hot little uniforms too. I’ll even do the hiring for you.”

“Yeah, sure. Run that one by my wife.” I laugh.

“Why do you have to suck all the fun out of things? You know what? I bet I can talk her around. She’s not going to be able to keep up a house like that by herself.”

I give him a side eye roll. “You know, I wouldn’t put it past her to castrate you if you even mention bringing half-naked women in flimsy maid uniforms into her house.”

“Yeah, maybe. But to do that, she’d have to touch my dick. And I know for a fact you wouldn’t let that happen, so I think I’m safe.”

“Fottuto idiota!” I curse him out. He’s right though. There’s no fucking way I’d let her touch his dick.
