Turning to face me, he cradles my face with his strong hands, and just like that, his lips are on mine. Tasting. Teasing. Torturing me with every swipe of his tongue against mine. I’ve never been kissed like this. As if I’m the air he breathes. It’s intoxicating and addicting. When my hands grip his hair, a moan from deep in his throat fills the small space. His hands grip my waist, and he pulls me close, and I can feel how much he wants me—the evidence pressing against me.

He pulls away, and a protest falls from my lips. His forehead presses against mine as we both try to catch our breath. “This is us,” he murmurs.

This is us, I repeat in my head as a thrill courses through me. His grip on my waist tightens. “Legs around my waist, baby,” he commands as he lifts me in the air. I wrap around him like a monkey and hold on tight as he walks us off the elevator and into his penthouse.

Chapter 9

Eli

The feel of her legs wrapped around my waist and my cock nestled between her legs has my brain malfunctioning. I should set her down, invite her to sit with me in the living room, and get to know the woman she’s become since I last saw her as a teenager. Maybe steal a few kisses before calling a cab and sending her home.

Instead, I’m rock-hard and devouring her mouth like the world is about to come to an end and I may never get the chance again.

I don’t bother turning on a light, but I have no problem navigating the penthouse without one. When I reach the wall, I press her back into it as she tugs on my hair. I’ve thought of nothing but her hands on me since I saw her standing behind the bar at The Wine Cellar two short weeks ago. Now, she’s in my arms and giving as good as she gets.

“Fuck, this isn’t exactly what I was thinking when I invited you up here.” I growl, nipping at her swollen bottom lip.

Marley rocks her hips, rubbing against my cock. “I beg to differ.”

I snort out a laugh, grinding into the apex of her legs and causing the sweetest gasp to fall from her lips. “No, this wasn’t my plan, but in my dick’s defense, it’s been hard and ready since you glared at me for calling you Bob at The Wine Cellar.”

She gazes up at me with heavy-lidded green eyes and whispers, “I had to touch myself that night.”

I groan in both pain and excitement. Her confession actually causes my cock to harden to the point of hurt.

“And that only made me mad because I didn’t want to want you.”

“Why?” I ask, running my hand across her jaw and down her neck.

“Because you were always so mean to me when I was younger,” she adds, making me feel like the biggest dick this side of the Pacific.

“I’m sorry I was a dick to you. At first, it was just teasing. You were my best friend’s annoying little sister. But there was this one time, when Cameron and I both came back home for your eighteenth birthday, I caught a glimpse of you as my best friend’s hot sister. I thought I had to turn up the teasing just so I’d keep my hands off you.”

Her eyes widen as she stares at me. “Really?”

“I felt like such an asshole, but I had to, Mar. I was already feeling guilty for jacking off thinking of you, but then it got worse when I started teasing you more. I saw every ounce of hurt in your eyes before you’d push it away and give it right back to me. I’m sorry, Mar. I’m sorry I was such a dick to you.”

“You used to jack off thinking of me?”

“Is that all you got out of that?” I ask, chuckling and leaning in to commit her scent to memory.

“That’s a pretty big confession. You should know I did the same thing.”

A wolfish smile spreads across my face. “Yeah?”

“Oh, yeah. Sometimes, I’d have to do it twice a night to try to alleviate the ache.”

I groan and close my eyes, picturing her with her hands between her legs. “I’m going to want to watch you do that. Soon.”

She juts up her chin and states, “Only if I get to watch too.”

I’m able to suppress my moan, but barely. “That was why I never came back after that weekend. I stayed away because I knew I was too weak. I’d never be able to keep my hands off you a second time, not after seeing you in that pink and blue bikini.”

She grins. “You remember that?”

“I’ve thought of it a million times since.” Sighing, I rest my forehead on her shoulder and take a deep breath. “I should take you home.”
