I shuddered as he pecked me softly. “’S’like cuddling with orgasms and kisses.”

He smiled slowly and took himself another sweet kiss. “Best bedtime story if you ask me.”

I grinned. “Or lullaby.”

He grinned back and touched my cheek. “Happy birthday, by the way. We’re off to a great start.”

Oh my gosh, yes! It was my birthday now! “Thank you, Pop. Got my first gift already too.”

He chuckled and reached over to shake Archie’s leg. “More celebration when the sun’s up. You should get some sleep, little one.” But he wanted to wake up Archie? “Slave.”

Maybe he’d heard something on the baby monitor?

“Wake up, slave.”

I scrunched my nose, curious, and wondered so many things. What was he up to now?

“Yes, Master?” Archie responded groggily. “What can I do for you?”

“Help me in the bathroom,” Greer replied.

Curiouser and curiouser. I watched Archie scurry out of bed, and he followed Greer out of the room.

Feeling nosy and intrigued, I dismounted Daddy’s lap and clenched down before his release could trickle out, and then I ran after.

It could be something new they were incorporating into their high-protocol lifestyle. I’d seen little changes here and there.

The bathroom door was open, so I discreetly poked my head in just enough to see, and my eyebrows lifted.

Greer let out a breath of sheer contentment as he relieved himself into the toilet.

Archie was, um, holding Greer’s cock.

What level of flippin’ lazy was that?!

“Good slave.” Greer patted his boy on the head.

He’d actually woken up Archie in the middle of the night, not long before Archie was usually running up the stairs to tend to Kyla’s midnight shenanigans, just so Greer didn’t have to hold his own cock while he peed.

Then again, it took a single glance Archie’s way to see what this kind of submission did to him. He lived to serve his Master, to be used so thoroughly, all hours of the day. This wasn’t a matter of laziness at all. It was incredibly intimate and psychological.

But yeah, some things just weren’t my jam!

I skipped back to the bedroom and dove straight for my Daddy, ’cause I wanted snuggles.

Froggy!

I patted the roof of my car lovingly and promised I’d drive him soon again. I’d brought my spare key, so maybe tomorrow when we left Mclean again.

Quite a few people were here today. I counted seven cars, though that included my Mini Cooper and Reese’s Impala and River’s truck.

“I’ll see you at the cabin,” Archie announced and took off.

“Why are you running?” I yelled. He was acting strange today, and he’d run so many errands that I was surprised he could still walk.

“I have to go to the bathroom!” he hollered back.

I scratched my forehead and shrugged. All right. Then I grabbed my overnight bag and took a deep breath. Stepping out of the carport, I reluctantly looked over at the house, only to feel a bit stumped.

It didn’t look that bad, despite the dark-gray sky promising frigid rain as a backdrop.

Of course, our kinky slice of heaven had been painted black to begin with, so that concealed the soot pretty well.

It wasn’t until we got closer that I saw the traces of the fire. Most of the windows on the first floor had been blown out. The white-painted shutters and the detailed trims were no longer white. And the smell was overpowering. Never before had I realized that water damage had a smell. Now I knew. Wet wood funk met charcoal.

“It’s standing, at least,” I mumbled.

Greer inclined his head. “And it’ll keep standing. There’s very little damage to the exterior and zero damage to any load-bearing structure, so that’s good. We found that out today.”

That was great news.

Kyla spat out her pacifier, so Greer picked it up and did the most parenty thing I’d ever seen. He put it in his own mouth to clean it, then stuck it back into hers.

“You are such a daddy, Dominus.”

He chuckled. “What would you have me do, pull out some fancy wipes from the diaper bag that Archie just ran away with?”

“No, I just think you’re cute as heck.” I reached up and poked Kyla’s chubby cheek before I did the same with Greer’s less chubby one.

“He’s had plenty of practice with our other four.” With those words, Daddy walked past us with two duffel bags.

I grinned up at Greer, who looked a little dazed.

“Did you hear that, Sir?” I prodded. Sloan had said our other four, to include Greer. For each day that passed, they became a little more solid, a little more official, and a lot more family.

He smiled back at me before he picked up the pace and nodded for me to keep up. “Life’s good.” He pressed a kiss to Kyla’s beanie-covered forehead. “Innit, baby girl? It’s all comin’ together.”

“Bam-bam!” Kyla babbled.

“Daddy’s got your bam-bam,” Greer replied. Was bam-bam a thing?
