“This is tragically beautiful, Charlie. When did you write this? Is it about he who shall not be named?”

That makes me laugh and I nod. “Yeah, that guy.”

“It really is a powerful, soulful song. I know I couldn’t do it justice, but your voice could. Ever thought about recording it?”

“Me? No. I just write the songs.”

“What about just this one song with us? On the Wallflower album, but only if you want.”

“Really? You like it that much you would put it on your debut album?”

“Absolutely! Charlie this is a phenomenal song that deserves to be heard. I would be honored to make it with you.”

“Wow. Thank you. As much as these lyrics hurt, it would be great to get it all out. To actually make it and get it off paper where it would just die.”

“Let’s do it then. The girls are still downstairs working with Marcus. Let’s go see what they think.”

“Okay. If you’re sure, let’s do it.”
