“I beg to differ. I bet he has a small pecker too; all of those steroids are not good for a person.”

“Is there a point to why we are here Kai? Because you’re acting like a dick right now,” Sinclair snaps again, clearly pissed at me. It might be time that I ask Mr. Z to add her to the roster for fight night. It may even be fun to see her get her ass kicked. Damn that green eyed monster has really pissed me off.

“Yes, it’s Jolie’s birthday in a week.”

“We know when her birthday is,” Jimmie adds.

“I’m thinking that we should throw her a party, a masquerade party to be more precise. That’s not negotiable either, and I’m not classified to tell you why.”

“Okay, I can work with that. Though a week isn’t that long to get everything I would want.” Sinclair mumbles while she starts writing in her notebook that I asked her to bring. “And I take it that it’s a surprise?”

“Yes, so I’m trusting you to find her the perfect dress and mask. I want jaws to drop, and hold no expense,” I say, sliding a card across the table. We all get paid to be a part of Olympia; we get a wage and once teams take on jobs they get good commission from those. I’ll give Mr. Z one thing: he pays us well. It’s why he expects so much from all of his teams. I know for a fact my team is paid more than, say, Jimmie’s team. The wages are based on your team's skill set and once you graduate high school you can negotiate your payments. Let’s just say having Brennan on our team has really worked in our favour. Though I’m sure Jimmie is being well paid for his stint back in high school. Sinclair, on the other hand, would be paid next to nothing. She isn’t on a team and might not ever be, plus she hasn’t graduated from high school yet.

“Any other requests?”

“Just that you two make this perfect.”

“What do we get paid to do this?” Betty asks.

“You don’t get shit. You were not invited and news flash, girlie, Jimmie is friends with Jolie and you do nice things for your friends. I don’t trust you, nor do I even like you. You’re lucky that I even let you stay. If you know what’s good for you, I would keep your mouth shut and sit there looking pretty.”

She slumps back in her chair and doesn’t say anything else. I can already tell that her and Jimmie are in for a fun drive home. She clearly doesn’t like Jolie and he does.

Sinclair stops writing and looks up at me.

“We'll make it perfect. What about the guest list?”

“Her friends, their teams, and anyone else that you think should be invited. I don’t really care as long as you warn them that if they step out of line they have us to deal with. Chester isn’t going to take lightly to anyone messing up her birthday. Or Creed, for that matter, if someone makes her cry.”

“Done. I will update you once I have all the details.”

With that, I get up and leave, my mood still sour. The image of her kissing Brennan so easily yet only kissing my cheek as a goodbye keeps replaying in my head. I have to go gift hunting before I go home. I want our date to be perfect since it’ll be the first.Operation ‘Woo, my princess’ is a go.

Jolie

Why in my anger did I have to open my big mouth? Ten guys. How in the fuck am I going to manage that? There are simply not enough hours in a day for all of them, and time for myself either. I've spent the last twenty-four hours being torn between everyone. Chester is in a mood because he wants more attention and tried to convince Creed to let him tattoo him; however, when he refused, Chester slammed a door and I haven’t seen him since.

I make my way up the stairs and turn down the hallway towards Team Zeus’s wing. Knocking on his bedroom door first, I push it open to find Chester sitting at a desk in front of a large bay window, a sketchbook and pencil in his hand. I pad across the room on silent feet and stand behind him, placing my hands on his shoulders. I gasp at the lifelike drawing he is working on. It’s a picture of all three of us–me, him and Creed–all laying in my bed together.

“Are you okay?” I ask him. He puts his pencil down and turns in the swivel chair to face me. His hands come to the back of my thighs, and he pulls me forward until I’m standing between his spread thighs.

“I will be. You look edible,” he murmurs, resting his head on my stomach. “Where are you off to?”

“I have a date with Kai, but first, Brennan has set up a video call with Amelie to find out if she knows what her organisation's involvement is with Olympia. She will only talk to me.”

“I’m jealous,” he admits. My hands take hold of his face, forcing him to look up at me.

“I know. I also know we will find a way to make it work.”

“And what if we don’t?”

“Is that even an option? I won’t choose nor will I settle down with just one of you. But I will understand if it’s not for you.”

“I’m not giving you up,” he growls possessively. “I would kill them all and take you hostage before that happened.”

“Okay caveman, I have to go. I'll talk to you later.” I step back and turn to leave, but Chester loops his finger in the back of my jeans and pulls me into his lap. He grabs my chin, tilting my head to the side, and places his lips on mine.
