I just have to wait until he comes along. And in the meantime, I want to make my own mark on the world.
Stacey wants me to be happy. And there are times when I'm jealous of the life she lives. I want it—the happy relationship, the pending marriage, the money and the fame and the life that will be so easy for her. She has everything she wanted.
But I work hard, and I firmly believe what I put my energy into will come back to me. I can't work this hard and not make it big.
So, I'm going to keep moving forward, and at some point, a man will join me. A man who deserves to be in my life. A man who's willing to put just as much into the relationship as I am.
That's what I want—my list of expectations isn’t unfair because it's exactly what I put into a relationship. It's only right that I get the same in return.
Even if some guys think my standards are too high and I'll end up alone. Those are the guys who are sour I won't choose them because they're lacking and I don't listen to them.
I can't settle, even if the idea of being alone instead terrifies me.
