We’re connected, so close I can hardly tell where I end and she begins.

She collapses on my chest, and I wrap my arms around her. Together, we ride out the wave of pure pleasure.

When we finally come down from the orgasm, her heart hammers against my chest and we breathe hard. Our skins are slick with sweat and the room is filled with the scent of our sex.

She rolls off me, and we lay side by side, catching our breath.

It takes a while to recover from our session. I want more, and in a moment, I’ll be ready to go again. But right now, I want Rachel tightly against me.

I reach for her and pull her closer. She puts her head on my chest and I put my arm around her shoulders.

“I love you,” I say.

“I love you too,” she answers.

I smile.

“Do you want to fly out to Texas with me this weekend to meet my mom?” I ask in to the darkening room.

Rachel thinks about it for a moment, before she nods against my chest.

“I’d like that.”

Epilogue

Rachel

Six months later

A lot can change in six months. I’m the poster child for that fact. A year ago, I was in France, with a man who didn’t appreciate me, a man it turned out I’d fallen out of love with a long time ago. In six months, I packed up my whole life and came to the States, where I started over.

Now, another six months after that, my business is doing well. I have so many clients who need my help with their wardrobes, I hired not one but two employees to help me out. They’re both young, fresh out of college with degrees in fashion, but they have potential, and the only way they’ll learn is by applying their theory so that it becomes experience.

“I can’t believe how your business has taken off,” Samantha says, sitting in my office, sipping a cup of coffee from my new coffee machine.

“I can’t, either. I’m still reeling,” I admit. “But it looks like it’s only going to get better from here.”

“I can’t believe Blake kitted out the whole place for you.” She runs her fingers along the mahogany desk that now graces my office.

I smile. “He likes to spoil me.”

“And he has the cash to do it.

I nod. The whole office has been redone with top-of-the-line furniture. Blake says that if I want to impress high-end clients, I need to look the part. And I guess he’s right. I dress differently now, too. But it’s not about the money. And it’s not about the image, either. I know what I’m doing, and I know it’s working because of the reputation I’ve built for myself. Blake just wants a reason to spoil me.

And I won’t stand in his way.

“So, when are you going to tell him?” Sam asks, a twinkle in her eye.

“Tonight,” I say with a smile. “I’m meeting him for dinner at Lavande.”

“Oh, sofancy,” Samantha says with a sight. “I want your life.”

I giggle. “You’ll find your Prince Charming. Just keep looking.”

Sam rolls her eyes. She doesn’t think she’ll find love. But I know now there’s someone for everyone. Maybe I should send her to Madame Dorota to point her in the right direction.

I’m still smiling about it after Sam leaves and I get in my cart to meet Blake at Lavande.
