“And where will you and Emma workout?”

“At the gym, of course,” Blake says with a shrug. “It’s better to mingle with others, anyway.”

I smile.

“That sounds great.” I hesitate. “I have something serious to discuss with you, too.”

Blake frowns at me.

I reach into my back and retrieve a black packet.

“I lied about having a headache.”

“What?” Blake asks, confused.

I hand him the packet. When he opens it, he takes out a watch with “World’s Greatest Dad” engraved on the back.

“What’s this?” he asks. “I don’t…” His eyes widen and he looks at me. “I’m not a dad.”

I smile at him. “In about seven months, you will be.”

Blake gasps. “Are you pregnant?”

I nod.

Blake grabs me into a hug, nearly knocking his water glass over.

“Oh, my God,” he said. “We’re going to be a family!”

“We’re already a family,” I say.

He lets go of me and suddenly looks emotional.

“Do you really think I can do this?” He runs his thumb over the words on the back of the watch.

“Yes,” I say firmly. “I do. You’re going to be the world’s greatest dad. Because you’re the world’s greatest boyfriend.”

“Soon to be husband,” Blake says. “Because we’re getting married as soon as we can.”

“What?” I ask, confused.

“We’re having a baby together, babe. We’re getting married.”

I laughed. “Is this a proposal?”

Blake only thinks for a second before he nods.

“Yes. It’s a proposal.” He bursts out laughing. “Marry me, Rachel Watts! We’ll find a ring for you. Tomorrow. But marry me.”

I laugh and nod. I didn’t think tonight would go like this. Not only are we going to be parents, but we’re going to get married and live together.

Oh, everything is going to be perfect.

Blake grabs me and kisses me, and my toes curl with want and need when he does.

“The damn woman was right!” Blake cries out.

“What woman?” I ask.

“Madame Dorota. Don’t you remember what she said to you?” He throws his hands out dramatically, just the way she did in what feels like a different life, not. “Love, light, and success… and babies!”

I laugh at Blake and how excited he is about this.

“My mom will be over the moon when she hears about this,” Blake says. He takes my hand and plants kisses in my palm. “This is the dream, you know that, right?”

I nod, still laughing. His happiness is contagious. But I’m just as happy.

This is the life I’ve always wanted. This is the man I love.

And like he said… the damn woman was right.
