The boys smiled and without any words, Craig held out his hand and pulled me up while Sam guided me to the corner. The moment I was out of the way, they moved into action. Like so many times I’d seen before, they worked seamlessly. Barely a word was spoken between them. Sam switched off the lamp and unplugged it while Craig moved the bedside table out of the way. They shifted their beds into the middle of the room, pushing the two metal frames together until there was barely a gap between them. The look between them was the same they shared with one another the first time I thought they were together. It was one filled with adoration. With heat. This time I hoped it was because they were fantasizing about me.

Craig tossed Sam’s belt to him and wrapped his own around the two closest legs. Sam fastened the simple pipe headboards together and tested the strength of the fixing by shoving at the bed frames. “That’ll do it.” He turned to me with a smile.

“You wanna come here, Ally?” He held out his hand but I hesitated.

I watched as Craig moved onto the bed, kneeling on his side of it. “Let’s talk first.”

“Um, okay?” I hesitated.

“Why don’t you take your boots off and hop up.” Sam patted the bed between them. “There’s no pressure.”

I kicked off my boots and looked down at myself, wishing I had more to offer them than just me in my shitty old clothes. I smoothed out my singlet, making no difference to the creases in the cotton. “Zero fucks,” I mumbled, kind of disgusted in myself for not even having thought to get changed.

Eyes twinkling with a wicked smirk on his lips, he taunted, “Zero fucks, huh?” Craig chuckled when my gaze shot to his. “I love the look you’ve got going on, Al.”

“Shut up.” I pulled the straps up to show a little less cleavage.

“They’re cute.” Sam snickered.

“If you’re gonna hang shit on me—”

“Nah,” they answered in unison and I huffed out a laugh. I was back to not knowing whether to be excited or mortified. My heart was beating like a band of wild horses galloping across the plains, my hands shaking with nervousness.

“I wasn’t exactly planning on getting laid when I got dressed tonight.” I knelt at the end of the mattress. “Right, how’s this gonna work?”

Sam choked out a surprised laugh. “Ally, honey, come sit ’ere.” He patted the bed between them. “We wanna talk for a second.”

I bit back the nerves and shuffled forward. I was between them facing their expectant gazes. Sam shifted, tugging on his loose boxers, unsuccessfully covering himself up while Craig reached for my hand, threading our fingers together. He brushed his lips, whisper soft, against my knuckles, murmuring all soothingly, “Thank you, Ally. It means everything to me that you’re here. After I left, I never dreamed….” He shook his head, his shoulders falling.

“I know.” I squeezed his hand.

“We’re glad you came.” Sam paused. “Just so we’re straight though, can you walk us through what you want?”

“You want me to give you instructions?” I squeaked, horrified. “On how to have sex?” Jesus, if that’s what they wanted, I was screwed. They’d better not be the kind of blokes who couldn’t find a clit between the two of them. I hadn’t waited years to finally touch them only to be bitterly disappointed.

Sam choked out a laugh while Craig snorted. “We’re still catching up on your thoughts here, Ally, but believe me, we can find a clit.”

I clapped my hand over my mouth and felt every millimetre of the flush staining my skin, heat crawling up my throat and over my cheeks. “Oh, God.” Mortification sent a rush of heat through me and I was sure my skin was flushed a bright red. “I said that out loud?”

“I didn’t mean instructions for sex.” Sam smiled, running his fingers through my hair before tucking a stray lock behind my ear. “This isn’t a one-time thing for us, Ally. We don’t just want a one and done.”

“Yeah.” Craig cleared his throat after his voice cracked. “We want everything. Is that what you want too?”

I looked at Craig, trying to discern if he understood just how far Sam and I wanted “everything” to go. My gaze bounded to Sam, hoping he understood how I would support him. I’ll keep your secret, but I’ll be there when you’re ready to tell him. I want you to be happy too. I want you to be able to love him too. “I do,” I whispered to Craig, before turning to Sam and adding, “I really do.” The smile he gifted me with was everything. Small, but it lit up the room, and I knew that he understood what I was trying to tell him. “I don’t want to get bogged down in the past anymore. We all fucked up. Let’s move on and change our future, yeah?”

“I could kiss you right now.” Craig bit down on his lip.

The rush of confidence and desire hit me hard, emboldening me. “Why don’t you?”

He shuffled forward on his knees, until I was sitting between his legs, and wrapped an arm around me. He smiled and leaned forward, pressing his lips to mine. A soft touch. A gentle tease.

“So, the three of us, yeah?” I blurted. “In a relationship.”

“If you’ll have both of us.” Sam sat on my other side. He’d shifted too, moving in so he was nearly behind me. His arm around my waist and his lips nestled against my throat, he inhaled, running his nose up into my hair.

I nodded, my heart pounding as I thought about exactly what it would mean.

“Good.” Craig smiled and ran his fingertips up and down the back of my arm, his soft touch a tease before he leaned in and kissed me again, slow and deep and toe-curlingly sexy.
